For the wedding party I am putting their roles. Mob, fog, moh, bride, groom......

I have made the ushers as usher but this feels odd. Would you put 'Usher' or his name?

    We only have the one

    Thanks ladies xxx

To be honest, for all of them I would put the name, and under it I would put the role (with a smaller font) X

There isn't space to put the name and role on the place names. I have done that on the table plan though.

Part of me wants to leave it as Usher as I dont want him to get upset if he is the only one without his role..

I suppose if you have done the same for bestman stc then it's no different to put usher/ groomsman

If you are putting the role on the others, the usher has a role so it should be their role

I've named everyone apart from who is sitting at the top table - so FOTB, MOTB, G, B, MOTG, FOTG. I haven't named the best men or bridesmaids as they aren't sitting at the top table!

If you have named the best man then it makes sense to call the usher "usher", to follow suit. Otherwise his name should be fine.

In that case I'd call him "usher", that way there are no names on the top table and it's all uniform :-)

Just a thought, if you have more than one usher, they might not know which one is them, so could you put their initials in brackets after the word usher?m

We only have one best man, one maid of honour, one usher so this wont be an issue. Good thinking though GF!

We just put everyone's names on the place cards except for me ame hubby who were "The Bride" and "The Groom". If you want to keep it uniform though and done everyone else's that way then no harm in putting "Usher".
