Hia Ladies,

Just wanted to share my excitement! We're going to pick our wedding rings up today and meet with our photographer for the first time. We're also going to see a company that is on our short list for the cake and see some people about chair covers too. Then tomorrow i'm going over my friends house who's making the bouquets to see all the lovely flowers she's bought!! So excited!

I'm starting to think now though that we should have met the photographer before booking her?! Starting to panic that we won't like her :-/

Also, what are you paying for chair covers?

We're meeting our probable photographer tomorrow to see his albums. I found him on here, and at the wedding fayre we went to the quotes were a lot more, so I contacted him and said we want to book him, but we haven't actually done the booking yet.

our venue doesn't supply chair covers and their recommended stockist charges £3.99 per chair!.. I have found one cheaper £1.99 a chair and they do packages i.e. 100 covers, sashes for £175 (so that's cheaper) but part of me thinks that's a lot of money to spend on covering a chair - spoke to H2B about it and he agreed, said that most of the blokes will put their jacket on the back so you won't see the cover (chairs at venue are red/gold checked - they don't bother me that much to be honest) - I'm not sure what to do really

Thanks for your comments ladies. We didn't get around to looking at chair covers but will keep your prices in mind.

We met the photographer, she was fantastic and totally put my mind at ease. The only thing is we picked up our rings and I don't like mine. I'm absolutely devastated. I've got 30 days to take it back and swap it for another one but I don't like any of the others there (i've tried them on a million times already!) I just don't know what to do x

There's mine, excuse my chubby hands!! I don't know why I don't like it. I'd remembered it in my head as something different and then i saw it and was really deflated. I've worn it all night to try to get used to it but i'm just really unsure :-( x

I can only get a refund if it's faulty but I can change it for another ring - if the other one is cheaper then i'll get a credit note :-/ There are some nice ones there but my ring is an awkward shape so they look funny. I'm starting to get used to this one but i feel like it's something that's going to be on my finger forever so i should absolutely love it..and i don't :-( x

I don't think you should just settle for something, as you said, it's going to be something you'll see multiple times a day for the rest of your life! Can you not break it & get a refund?! Haha. Maybe the shop will have different rings in a week or so? You never know. or have you looked on their website? Sometimes they have more variety than in the shops xx

Ahhh, too bad about the ring. I hope they have some you like online. If that doesn't work maybe you could go for a plain one and then change it to a band that suits your engagement ring later.

Went to see my flowers today! I'm soooo excited!!! My friend is doing them and got them all from the whole salers. Soooo for £100 i've got:

My bouquet
3 BM's smaller bouquets
1 FG posy
8 button holes
Church flowers
A flower for each table centrepiece
Small flower arrangement for the top of the cake

I'm really happy, I was dubious about how real the silk flowers would look but they really do look real!

as regards your ring i was the same ..... bought it ... the next morning i really wasn't sure about it ... few days later still felt the same ( by then couldn't take it back as we bought it in america ) .. i then dint look at it at all for a couple of weeks ... then when i did i started to feel different

Thanks ladies. I know Siany, I was sooooo chuffed! I've changed my mind about the ring, I wore it all of last night, even wore it to sleep. I've established that it's not the ring that I don't like, I've just never worn rings so I couldn't get used to it. The more i wear it the more I love it. I'm slowly getting there I think! x
