I am having a pirate themed wedding and was wondering if anybody knew of any places I could get cheap palm trees and wooden barrels (like they used to keep alcohol in)

dunno where you live but try calling up some local distilleries? they may well have a few barrells you can borrow, or old ones they are gonna throw out. You can but ask!

have you got a theatre near you they may have things like that you can borrow from wardrobe. There are a few plays with pirates

I would use those inflatable palm tree things. Or get a palm tree chocolate fountain? (google it and you will see!)
also, your florist may have things like that. When I went to see my florist and we went through the back, there was fake palm trees and flamingo's everywhere! They do special events and functions so had loads of stuff for themes.

OMG just been thinking about your wedding. You could get some AWESOME pictures. Imagine if you got an eye patch for everyone, then got them all to wear it just for 1 picture. How funny would that be!
