I was just wondering if anyone is going to have anything unusual on their big day. H2b said he wants a comedian as the entertainment instead of a disco. Im up for that as I hate disco's

    That would be interesting :)

I wouldn't say its 'unusual' but our photographer offers a slideshow of the photos he's taken so far and shows them in the evening :) that was what sold him to us! :)

I love that idea April, have heard of it before and think it's fab! We were thinking of putting on our own slide show to play throughout the wedding breakfast which would show pics of me and OH as little'uns :) depends if the venue has a projector though.. they do host business conferences and things so they might do. Will definitely have to check!

I suppose the most unusual thing we are having is a magician.. everything is pretty "normal" otherwise! x

We're having a medieval minstrel play for the wedding ceremony.

I think you just have to go with what is right for you. We would love a comedian but couldn't afford a good one x

We didn't have anything particularly unusual, although we did go out of our way to make it child friendly, but my brother and his wife had guests take turns to perform at the reception. I played flute, we had a few singers, a poetry reading, and a memorable dramatic recitation of a Roald Dahl book.

30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

Def make sure you see the comedian before you book so you are sure he will make people laugh (and be appropriate for your guests - not swearing if you have kids there etc). But sounds like a really fun idea.

Flossie - if the venue don't have a projector, could you borrow one from work or a local school? X

H2b said we should go out and watch some and also some groups as he wants a blues band as well
I think it's just his way to get me to go out as i would rather be at home lol
