I have a pretty unusual request for our wedding cake and can't seem to find a decent cake designer or porfolio where i think "wow...they can pull it off!" Does any body know of anywhere in the uk that can do such wonderful things!
If anybody has sky and watches Ace of Cakes...thats the type of awesomeness I am looking for! xXx

Depends what your looking for. My 'cake lady' is in rugby.. her designs are real nice.. And i've got afew friends who do the fancy designs.
When I was looking at cakes I looked at afew in London.. They were really 'out there' designs.. just think it all depends on what sort of thing you are after.. There is no harm in asking a cake designer.. they can only say 'no' if its too hard.?! xx

I am not familiar with the term - but if I google Macmo cakes one site comes up where they use Macmo as a trademarked term and this site is scottish.

I remember seeing a fantastic cake maker on wedding tv in bournmouth - im racking my brain to try and remember them - will put it on your wall if i find the website!

this is gunna sound really out there but i like being adventurous ;-) since we're getting married at old trafford we were thinking of a big heart shaped cake but the middle "inside"bit (if that makes sense) to look like the football stadium and then have "Jill & Kyle United" around the outside!

What i would suggest is making sure you look at the novelty or other cakes on peoples cake websites - that will give you a better idea of their skill in creating something a bit different

I'm a wee bit away from you but I'm a cake designer and dont mind travelling to deliver if petrol is paid. For my cake I am doing a replica of our castle venue with a dragon perched on top so unusual is usual for me lol
