Sorry it's s long one When I first talked about dress shopping my aunties both were really happy I asked them to come ( very surprised by one aunt as she's had issue with me for many yes due to her only having buys n hating bindi have with my mum!!) anyway I messaged them talking about sorting a day to go and surprise surprise she bailed but my other aunt was still for it as I thought she'd be. But when the time came she never showed to first shop m said she'd meet at second which she did but then didn't seem bothered after that!! And never came to second or third lot of shops ( even though we went to all get dress fittings as her support years back) and this really upset me. But showed her dress anyway and she seemed happy but was my daughter birthday in May n I thought I won't go to them ( as always do) will see if they make effort and they haven't!! She sent a txt which I never reviewed only knew from her telling my mum and even though my mum said I never received anything still nothing!! So to the point lol I don't no whether to invite her to next sat when I go and see my actual dress for the first time!! As am still upset with her but also want to stick by my word of when I asked. Do I ask n see or just carry on and not bother? I worry if I ask n she makes an excuse I will get upset n say something to start an issue but if I don't ask then she'd feel excluded :/

Don't bother then if she gets really pissed, invite her to one of your fittings.

What I would do is ask her, but expect from the beginning that she won't turn up. I'm having to do this with an aunt. I don't want to invite her to the wedding essentially and that's complicated, but she basically helped raise me for the first 14 years of my life then dropped us like hot cakes... so I have to. But I KNOW she will decline, so I'm not overly bothered.
Invite her, so that she doesn't later get the pleasure of saying "She said she would, and then she didn't". That way, you are whiter than white. You just need to make sure that you know that you're basically making a pointless request when you make it. So that you won't feel sad when she doesn't turn up, but if she does then you'll be pleased. xx

I wouldn't ask and if she complains, be honest and say she let you down last time and it really upset you so you didn't want it to happen again as you didn't want to feel upset again. Then she might change her behaviour if she realises its hurting you. As OATB says you can always invite her to a later fitting if she would still like to come. X
