What is everyone wearing under thier dress? I am really struggling with this it is almost like I cannot seem to get my head round what my options are. My dress is strapless. Any ideas ?

I was thinking of not bothering with a bra as am wearing a corset...but if I do then will probably just go for a white strapless one. Not another corset or anything.
Just normal pants I think...nice new ones, mind!

I hadnt really thought about that yet - but ill probably be getting a strapless dress - so will go for some nice new pants and a strapless bra :-) x

I can't decide whether to get an all in one body thing or stick with seperates! My previous experience of all in ones are that they seem to move down - which wouldn't be a good look! Also have a corset on the top of the dress and when I tried it on took my bra off and nothing moved! This seems to be the most difficult decision yet!
Bra and pants- haven't decided about stockings yet. But probably not as I have opentoe shoes- but they would stop them rubbing-

Mine come today!! so pleased as they fit lovely, i got a basque with matching knickers & stockings...i was shocked as i was just going to buy a strapless bra & knicks...he spotted me looking and said he wanted me to order something abit more sexy :D..so he chose them and payed for em. Basque has detachable straps. xxx

Ladies I would avoid all in ones!!!!! Have you considered how you will go to the loo if you have one of these. I think i'm going to get a seriously good ( I need the support)strapless bra/ or basque and pretty knickers to match. I would love to wear stockings but they really annoy the hell out of me and i have a large dress that I need to wear a hoop underskirt with I really dont think I could cope with wearing anything else.

im plannin on wearing a nice strapless bra and sum nice pants. i'm waitin til a couple of weeks b4 to get them cos i'm losing a little bit of weight so i wana makesure it fits right. i cant possibly go without a bra. i'm also gona wear hold up stockings, i dont like sussies but i dont want the tops of my legs rubbing together and getting sore wen i'm hot xx

have the same thing with my dress eriksjord, have got one of the new ultimo bras with optional gel "chicken fillets", their not v sexy (they come in black or white) but are quite low at the back and comfortable. did buy a basque from but found it was too high at the back and will show above my dress, plus i really needed to keep the straps on it to make my "gnat bites" look larger!! x x

Hmm. I am quite large on top so hence my underwear problem. I think you may be right Billybob - that is a practicality I had not considered and given that I am already concerned about how I am going to manage in my dress additional underwear issues would not be good in the loo! Am not keen on hold ups - I always find they really dig into my legs! I have a hoop as well so maybe I need to think about keeping this simple!

Wear what you feel most comfortable in and try it out. You don't want to find anything slipping or getting uncomfortable after a few hours. x

I am busty too, if you have a corsetted dress some of them are really excellent and hold everything in I could have got away with not wearing a bra. I jumped around in one dress and nothing moved!!!

If this helps Scatty- my dress shop told me basques ruin the line of the dress. I suggest slipping into something uncomfortable and sexy before bed.

my dress is strapless and goes down at the back a little so i was strugglin with bra ideas so went for a strapless/backless stick on bra from la senza i hope its ok with the dress, xx

Eriksfjord have you considered those 'stick on' bras? I too am struggling as my dress is a strapless corset so will be extremely tight fitting but I don't want to not wear a bra so these have been recommended to me...

bex i bought one and i think once tied into the dress it will be good, but it recommends u only wear it for up to 9 hours so will probably have to change it at some point durin the evening, i dont know lol, im worried about that lol xx

Hi Bex - thanks for the idea I think I would constantly panic it was going to fall off! If nothing else this discussion has made me feel like I am not the only person with this dilema. Having had all the BM's round yesterday for a get together and make up trial (photos on wall!) I think I need to go for a strapless bra and a decent pair of knickers for while I am wearing my dress. I have another dress in case I want to change and I will def need hold in knickers for that. One of my BM's is going to take me shopping! I have really appreciated everyone's comments on this as I really didn't know where to start. xx

Hi Eriksfjord, the sticky on bras won't fall off, i had one for my friends wedding. it was a little bit uncomfortable though, i'd recommned trying one for a day before your wedding so you can see what it feels like and then take it from there. most of them come with a couple of sets of the sticky pads too :) x

I'm wearing a strapless bra and thong set!! I found it really difficult finding underwear in white everything I found in white was just plain and not very nice looking all the fancy bra sets where in ivory but I managed to find a nice shop that had loads of white sets after spending a full day shopping it was the last shop we went into was such a relief!! xx

Ladies.
If you are going for a strapless bra.. buy one that is a size smaller in the back. When you try your dress on, if it feels like your dress is falling, its your bra thats moving not the dress. If you getting a smaller back it sort out the problems and it wont move xx

I also had lingerie clips put on my dress so it means that my dress will not slip down and show my bra so any girls like me having a strapless dress might want to ask the bridal shop if they can add these to their dress - the bridal shop I got my dress from done it free of charge xx
