I'm just writing my invitations and am including children. I know that one person we are inviting is expecting and due in July, a month before our wedding, so two months after we send out invitations. I'd like to make it clear that baby is invited but don't know how to word it! All the other invitations obviously just have the name on.

    Many thanks in advance!

I wouldn't worry too much about it! Is she the type of person that you could put 'and bump' on the invitation?

Do they have a name for the baby yet? If so you could put his/her name down?

I would put 'and bump' or your could put 'and baby'. What ever your feel is better for the type of person they are. X

I would say invite to mr & mrs xxx and also baby xxx to come and celebrate our day or you could do invite mr & mrs xxx ad the new addition to your family to celebrate out day I think bump is too informal unless that is they style of weddingyou are having. I would also speak to veneu to see if they can arrange a quite space for your friend for feeding etc as sometimes new babies won't feed when there is so much going on around them and it might just give mum time to take a deep breath as she may be sleep deprived and just want to have 5 minutes of quiet time away from everyone as being a new mum is difficult xx

Just make sure you know what the surname is going to be if the guests aren't married!

I know a lot of my unmarried friends have children in their name, rather than the fathers with the plan of deed polling to the fathers name if they get married.
