Kelly and Laura - The whole Idea of these FREE shoots are to get potenial business for the photographers that are involved! The point of them is for members who HAVENT booked already to see what their fav photographer is like before their big day and to get to know them. Most photographers do this anyway by having a pre wedding shoot before the wedding so if you have already booked with one but then go to him with this deal then in all likely hood I'm afraid he will quite possiable say no because he already HAS your business and is quite within his right to do so I'm afraid! Sorry.

sorry but i was given the offer only today and as im getting married in a few weeks im guessing other people are in the same sitaution. When i joined i didnt have a photographer. I have been in contact with the photographer and he didnt ask if i had one or not. Im not going to take the mick and aslong as i say good things about his company to people i know who are getting married then surely thats good for his business if they decide to go with him. Please let me know if this free offer is not valid anymore so i dont arrange something that is not going to happen. thanks

aww nice one .. that cheered me up getting my email for the photo shoot especialy since only half hour before getting letter from the bank.. anyway anopther story, just went on the comp at the right time... smiling again here, hopefully will give me a better idea of what type of pics i'll want, and hopefully between this free engagement shoot and our actual wedding pics i'll have lost lots of weight ... fingers crossed xx

lala mod bunny - i wasnt wanting it to take the mick out of the photographer - when i joined on here i didnt have a photographer and have only just booked one and then i got given this offer. i dont intend to get 'free photos' out of him either as i was willing to pay for the disc with all the prints on and for a few prints. i have never had a photoshoot in my life and me and my partner only have a couple of photos of us together from all the six years that we have been together and so thought this may be the chance to have some proper pictures we can put up in the living room.
as well as this the photographer rang me back and said that i could have the photoshoot.

None for Somerset and the list via the link is hard to use as done by my current postcode and im getting married in Somerset (120 miles from Birmingham) so cant work out the mileage to Bristol/Devon/Wiltshire, etc. Any idea if the webpage can be changed to allow us to put in the postcode rather than you knowing as i know alot of brides arent getting married locally? Ta xx

I think this is a great idea, I will try and get my fiance to agree... we neither of us like our photos being taken much so may have to work to convince him! There's none in Beds though and only 1 in Herts so may not be ideal... we shall see! x

Haven't been on here for ages as family problems and to my surprise we've received an email about the free shoot, we've just spoke to the photographer on the list nearest to us, We have already chose our photographer as the wedding is getting closer but still having the shoot, If we like the disc then we might book him as the girl we've sorted is just out of university and hasn't done this before on a professional level. The guy we spoke to was so lovely and he also said there was no obligation to use him at our wedding as long as he can put the pics on his site. I will recommend him if he's really good

Yes, I too have recieved my email at 6pm this evening. The nearest one to us is 23 miles away and we alreadymhave our photographer booked, so we won't we taking up the offer. if there is any way of releasing my offer to someone else, then thats fine with me.
Fantastic idea though for those who,are struggling with a photographer!

IIve just had an email through for this and I'm not sure whether to take it up. I have booked our photographer already but she doesn't include a pre-shoot so I thought this free engagement shoot might be a good idea to get me and h2b used to posing in front of the camera (as we're rubbish at posing!!!) Do you think it's really cheeky to take a different local photographer up on this with no intention of booking them for our wedding? xx

To all brides who have already booked a photographer can you kindly NOT take up our generous gesture unless you make it clear that you now have booked your wedding photographer but are happy to buy some prints etc.
We REALLY want this to work for our members AND our photographers. Your honesty is appreciated, and the thousands of brides across the UK who will benefit from this scheme in finding THE photographer for their wedding thank you too x

I found my email in my junk folder when i was clearing out mail nearly missed it and had a look and booked our free shoot, then called the photographer as requested and oh he was so lovely to speak to. Made me feel at ease (As we are both the shy type and im usually hiding behind the camera) really excited about getting it done and we spoke for a good while about how we wanted the picture. Hes emailing me and i have just to respond to confirm the details of what we spoke about.

Just wondered if you can offer my shoot to some one else? allthough I havent actually got a photographer as such my neighbourghs daughter-in-law is doing it for free for us and I wouldnt feel right taking this offer up knowing I wouldnt actually be needing to use them if that makes sense. x

hi, i had my shoot on tuesday! was a great morning. couldnt choose the pic we wanted so bought the 10 final pictures for £40 and we got an online link to our pics which i can't seem to upload onto my wall :( xx

Not meaning to sound stuck up or anything but I think some people are using and abusing this fantastic offer. It is only supposed to be used if you havent got your photographer sorted not just for freebie pics. If everyone uses it that has allready has a photographer just to get the pictures it is of no benefit to the photographer as this is supposed to be them giving you their service to try and get the business as a potential customer. If you have allready got your photographer you know you will not be giving them your business so I feel it is just wrong.

kempy, i have my photographer and i used this. but i bought my pictures and have been given a link to use so others can use his service. he knew we had one along and was happy to do the shoot regardless. i get it is ur opinion, but i never had any decent pics of me and h2b cos most of the tiem we the ones taking the pics. didnt want our wedding day to be our first proper ones together/
i think as long as it isnt abused and the photographer is well aware that u have a photographer then i think everyone offered should be able to use it. i plan on going back to the photographer when we want pics done again cos his prices are competitive and he is amazing. that is my opinion x

Like the boss man says above this is supposed to benefit both the photographer and the bride by them hopefully getting protential bussiness so if too many brides who have already got photographers abuse this offer then unfortantly the offer would be stopped as there would be no benefit in it! Like you say tho if the photographer knows up front that you have already booked elsewhere then thats up to them to honour the deal or not
