Hello all I'm Dave from 1st Lincs Limo and I'm the UKbride expert for Transport so if anyone has any questions or queries they would like answering then ask away.

I've been in the business for 10 years and would be happy to offer advice on not only wedding transport but also transport in general covering wedding cars and Limousines as I'm quite up to date on the law with most of this too.

I intend to try and be on here most Mondays if anyone wants to add me for a chat or post your questions in this thread for all to read.

    Thanks for your time.

    Dave.

I'm not that bothered about having a fancy car...unless I can have an Aston Martin! Do you know of anywhere that does this in/near Stafford? Ta!

What do you think would be a reasonable quote for a 35 minute journey in a limo (just the one journey - one way!).
    Thanks

From personal experience the bride and father is the most common but the groom is quite often arriving in style at the wedding and also the bridesmaids, only last weekend I had 2 wedding cars doing 2 runs to the church and then on to the reception so I guess it’s down to what you want to do on the day.

I hope all goes well for you.

    Thanks Dave

Thank you, this was most helpful.. I think linclimos is local to me anyway so you'll be glad to know we'll end up using your companies cars anyway! :) x

Have you tried the transport section under the "suppliers" tab on this website? If they don't offer what you want it might be worth asking them for a recommendation in your area. I'm sorry I don't know many companies in that area.

    Thanks Dave

I'm sorry but I don't think I can answer that question as there’s a lot of factors for the company when pricing, most limo companies quote for an hour minimum but you might want to think about if you want the limo to wait for photos after the service.

    Thanks Dave

    This may sound silly...

My mother asked the other day what would happen if the car broke down on the way to the church. But it got me thinking... it could, therotically happen. Do car companies have contengency plans for things like this?

I guess it’s different for every company and you would be best to ask them what they would do when you’re getting a quote.

You tend to find companies even though in competition will still work together in this situation to save the day, I know I have many companies I could call to help if this did happen, you have to remember we are often talking about quite old cars.

    Thanks Dave

Every car my H2B wants is sooooo expensive. What cars are a reasonable price but suitable for a 27 years old groom?

I'm wanting an easily accessable car, for me and my dad.. We're both disabled and can't get into too low or too high cars.. Which type of car(s) do you think would be most suited?

This sounds like a matter of taste v’s budget and the only answer to that one is to have a look at what’s on offer in your area, the further away you get the higher the price would normally be.

    Thanks Dave

I know a lot of the real old wedding cars tend to be quite high to get in to but Mercs and Rolls Royce Silver Shadows are quite a normal hight, also limos if your after a more modern car are qute a normal hight and offer a lot of leg room but not the 4x4 style ones as they are also very high. I guess you should get a good idea just from looking at images on websites but then give the company a call and ask them.

    Thanks Dave
