    Hi everyone,

My fiance proposed to me last june at the beginning of our round the world trip...the trip has 6 weeks left so we have now started to think about the wedding.
the problem i'm facing is my fiance (and his parents) are very keen for us to elope on our own somewhere exotic. i am very undecided as being a keen traveler this idea appeals to me but i don't want to feel like i have missed out on some of the intricate details you could personalize your wedding with in the UK - one idea was to have the tables themed 'where in the world are you sitting' after our recent round the world trip. One factor pushing me towards the abroad option would be the cost of UK weddings as they can get ridiculous.

Does anyone have any ideas on potential ideas to make a reception only wedding not feel like i've missed out? Can you still have bridesmaids and groomsmen or is that strange? one idea i had was to have the bridal/groomsmen party arrive at the venue a little earlier to have photos taken so at least i would still have those?

Any help would be appreciated as i am completely 50/50!!
