We are getting married in September this year. Im struggling to decide what to do about honeymoon.

Our son will be 2 and half when we get married and we havent taken him abroad before, we also have a dog and we would have to find someone to have him for the time we are away if we go abroad. My H2b has been abroad a handfull of times but he never really enjoys it.

I came up with the idea of staying in a log cabin and he sounded very interested. Hopefully it will be cheaper and we should be able to take the dog.
Has anyone stayed in one before? Can you reccommend any or give me and advice? It can be anywhere in the country. I would also love one with a hot tub. My little luxury for not forcing him to go abroad lol. :)

    Thanks

Iv stayed in some lovely log cabins in England, really romantic. Scotland has some lovely ones with saunas, hot tubs and spa baths. There are quite a few i tended just to google them or take a look at what comes on groupon and go to the websites to see what they have over the country.

What a fab idea, will be pinching this for us too! We can't afford to go abroad but would still like a little break away and somewhere where we can take our little dogglet, Ruby.
Log cabin, hot tub, champers ...... yes please!

    xx

This is what we are doing for our minimoon. We booked it thru Hoseasons. They have cabins all over the Uk/Ireland. Ours is in a nature reserve, overlooking the lakes. Private hottub, secluded gardens, and as its our hunnymoon we get a few extras thrown in. The cabin looks lovely - im so excited and cant wait. xx

We are staying in a log cabin on our honeymoon. Its on a nature reserve right by a lake, we get our own decking with private hot tub and row boat etc.... its in north cumbria up near carlisle so lot and lots to see and do up there as well.
The nature reserve is called the tranquil otter, so fingers crossed we see some :)

We have booked our mini-moon in a log cabin for the week after our wedding :) We get married on the Friday, then are travelling 4 hours to the log cabin down south on the Monday.

For 4 nights, 11th June to 16th (I think, whichever is 4 nights after the 11th aha) is costing us £403.

We have a private hot tub and sauna.

I'll put the link on my wall.

We're hoping to get travel vouchers for our wedding gifts and then hopefully going to go on 'proper' honeymoon later in the year for 2 weeks :)

We want to try for a baby soon so it will probably be our only couple only holiday abroad so going to make it count :)

    xx

Yeah they are so helpful there :) It's dead lovely, but a shame in a way that you have a little one (I'm assuming they're coming with?) as the private sauna is only in the elite 1 bedroom cabins.

I'm so broody right now, but the future looks so jumbled at the moment that I don't have a clue whats going on! I'm in the midst of looking for a new job, we might be selling the house and moving back in with my parents so we can pay off our debts with family and save for our own deposit on a house so we can move in the same village as my parents (we are with a firstbuy scheme atm and has to be a new house blah blah).

So will be trying by the end of the year hopefully! But not sure ahaha

Yes we are taking our son with us. Couldnt imagine going without him. He is staying with my H2b the night before the wedding and then with my mum the night of the wedding. Iv not spent a night away from him yet so even two nights will be hard lol. We are renting. I doubt we will ever be able to afford to buy. :(

Yes that would be really good tinsel. Thanks :)

My friend from work stayed in a cabin from Hoseasons and got a brilliant deal. Her and her partner stayed for 4 nights for £200 for a 2 bed cabin, all modern inside and with a hot tub. She said it was brilliant :)

Awwwh enjoy the free time though!
