ok, so we have decided that we are definately getting married abroad. We both like Mauritius but dont really know a lot about where is good to stay, especially since there will be our 2 children there plus at least 3 more. W also like the look of the caribbean but again the same things apply. Does anyone have any reccomendations on any villas or hotels that are good value for money, child friendly and preferably all inclusive? we are obviously looking to get married too, so if anyone has any exerience on any of those locations, I would be so grateful!!! There are so many beautiful places, but only the one event lol such a hard choice!! x

i have a magazine which says about the maldives/mauritius & it says you can't marry on certain islands because of them being too small so they don't have the legalities needed for weddings, so they are mainly used for blessings and renewal of vows etc.

I'm not sure about the caribbean, i know when my FIL got remarried in bahamas because it used to be a british colony it was quite easy to sort out/ everybody spoke good english so easy to find wedding planners etc.

i know a few resorts do all inclusive packages if you get married in the hotel grounds? Especially places like Mexico etc.

    Hope that made sense!!

Some of the big hotel chains like riu do free weddings (with some conditions) and you can get packages on top of that.

Maybe worth going into a travel agent to check out a few ideas? Xxx

TotallyLovedUp - be prepared to come away from the travel agents feeling let down. My experience of them hasn't been the best. I'm getting married in Kos, I went so many times to get information from travel agents but got nowhere. I ended up booking my wedding through a wedding planner as the travel agents wouldn't give me any information until the 2013 prices were on sale.

    Hope you have better luck.
