i am thinking of having my table plan hand written by my mother who has lovely handwritting but i have only ever seen typed table plans. i am useless with computers and printers and cant see myself getting it right by typing and printing.

what do you think about having it hand written?

I think handwritten will be lovely - im probably going to print my names out but only because i know i will make lots of mistakes if i try to handwrite it
I have seen handwriiten ones before and they looked just as good as typed ones

There are so many people out there who will tell you
    what you can't do.
What you have to do is turn around and say, "watch me"!!

Do it then! Professional calligraphy is bloody expensive.

Given that your mum can do calligraphy I would say go for it. I hadn't any option but to print really, my handwriting isn't the greatest and I don't really know anyone else who has decent handwriting either lol

Handwritten is really personal and if your mum has nice handwriting i would say go for it. I have even seen weddings where they couple have had their child write really cute name place tags so i dont think it will matter too much and its totally up to you what you decide.

I agree as your mum can do then YES defiantly do it, i personally think handwriting invites brings a personal touch to things that you just dont get with typed ones!

Can I ask are you hand writing all of it or just the persons name's????

We were thinking of getting someone to do the names for us but as we were qouted £60 JUST for someone to write them we decided against it lol if you can get it for free go for it

Thats ridiculous!!! That surely cant take that long!! Dont think i will be paying someone to write a name anytime soon! Luckily my H2B is pretty savvy with a computer so he is doing all the designing and printing for free as i dont want to pay someone to print anything either!!! Goodness i sound really frugal now!!

We printed ours but with a font that looked like handwriting, home made table plans are lovely and great if you can be individual.
