Ive been looking for ideas on bm dresses/wedding cake/flowers etc to match my turquoise, purple and white colour scheme BUT the turquoise isnt so straight forward....
Its coming up as a green and a blue colour but both are turquoise? Should I mix and match? I think I prefer the green?

this is the problem i've had with aqua. bluey aqua or greeny aqua :/ it's really annoying me and that's why i wanted to ditch the aqua part altogether...but the dresses had already been made

i think mix and match would work well. Would look a bit odd if you just had 2 or 3 different "turquoise's" but if you had a slightly different turquoise for each turquoise element then i think it would work, and it would make it much easier when buying things because you wouldnt need to spend hours looking for the right shade.

I started with the first dress as my colour scheme but couldn't get a thing to match so changed it to an aqua which is very close to tiffany blue. I do love the first colour still!
This is the bm dress I have (which is called turquoise online) and i've had to source cravats from the bay to match as our suit hire shop didn't do anythign similar and I wasn't able to get some of the decorations I wanted but it's all worked out ok in the end.

Teal, turquoise and aqua are hard colours as all can be either blue or green! I've gone for shades that lean towards green rather than blue.

Thanks!
It was the first thing I bought for the wedding and have arranged everything around it! It's from Co_ast! (Hope that's obvious!) Though they only do it in the long version at the moment. It's really lovely but i've had to send the detachable straps to chair sash people, cravat people to get good matches! Got them back luckily!
I have seen other shops selling it, Debs, JL, HoF so they might have stock in. The website picture is much lighter (looks pale) but I found that picture online which is a much closer colour to real life. x

i prefer the Green turquoise that was going to be my colour till i toned them down to sage green and rose pink good look and if you need any help i had sourced loads for that colour i know of a ribbon shop and i have samples if you need them also Wilkinson's has some lovely tea light holds 4 for £2 they say teal but were a good match to the green turquoise x

i've got bought some dylon dye to try and dye the dresses pink. i'd prefer to get rid of the aqua altogether. makes it so much simpler
i really like all the dresses you've put up, which doesn't help you!! lol
it's difficult to buy online when you choose those colours and works better when you have a swatch to compare in person...and i don't do face to face shopping anymore lol

the dress is very similar to one i bought of the bay it came from monsoon originaly but it was more of a pale duck egg colour though its still lovely there is a pic of me wearing it at my sisters wedding in my albums

The green is a much more elegant tone and the second dress in is gorgeous...not to dissimilar from mine lol. C x

i think the green one is lovely xx

I'd go for the second one then! It's a bit more unusual too. I wanted all my colours to match exactly, which they nearly do, but it would be fairly easy to get things to match on the same shade scale even if not 100%. x
