    Good afternoon ladies,

Hope everyone has been enjoying the sunshine. I have a question for you all regarding trying to conceive.

Me and h2b have been trying for 26 months so far and when we got engaged the plan was to stop trying and use contraception from next February if things hadn't happened to avoid me being pregnant or not long given birth come our wedding day. Now today, h2b has said there is no point stopping trying because it wouldn't matter when a baby is born or if I'm pregnant because we will have been blessed and I agree with him.

I just wondered what your thoughts on such a topic were? Thanks in advance :)

think you answered it yourself and i just say your h2b sounds amazing! it seems a baby is what you both want and why wait! if baby decides the time is right then it will come if not then it wont but i personally wouldnt stop. there are some medical reasons also the longer you take the pill the longer it take to come out of your system so stopping and starting can affect the chances of getting pregnant. theres nothing negative in my view with being pregnant on the wedding day. but it will truly come down to what you feel and theres no right or wrong decision xx

One BIG day will lead to lots of little happy days !!

Yeah I was on the pill for three years, and it took my body a year to straighten out after stopping.

Aww thank you. He is, he's been waiting for so long to be a daddy. Suppose you are right, I think if a baby is meant to be, contraception wouldn't stop it from happening anyway lol xx

I have been to the doctors numerous times to be told because I'm not yet 23 no gynae will see me because that's when you can have ivf! I've never asked for ivf and would rather not have to have it! I've had blood tests and internal ultrasounds with the gp which showed cysts and the bloods showed I ovulated that month, typical!! I'm in the process of changing doctors now because they just don't know what they are talking about half the time!!

Aww thank you for your answers ladies :) xx

its up to you and what you want, im starting on the unjection again as of tomorrow as to to not have same problem, but am planning on coming off it 6 months before the wedding as thats how long it takes for it to get out your system, as I don't want to be pregnant or to have another baby between now and then.

Yeah, he's got his pot to do his sample, just waiting for confirmation from our new doctors then that can be done :) I only ovulate some months, not every month, I can feel when it happens!

I've heard that about the injection. I'd be too scared to get it!xx

i say carry on trying Laura, i stopped for the wedding beginning of last year and then 2 month later was pregnant.. i also would ask you doc about treatments i think clomid will work wonder for you! i went when i was 19 to fertility clinics (as i was worried for the future whether i could conceive) and they took me seriously back then. i would just ask your new docs x

That's the whole reason I'm changing doctors, I just think they can't be bothered and won't take me seriously. I'm just coming up to 20 this month so it's important to me that any fertility problems aren't prolonged and aren't made any worse. I asked my doctor about clomid and was told they won't give it to me! My old doctor also said it's perfectly normal to still be having irregular periods, after 10 years of having them, I don't think so!! But fingers crossed, my new doctors may help :) thanks for your help :)xx
