Ok, so i have been searching the topics and can't seem to find a thread for putting on weight for the big day.

I started a new job in the summer (teaching) and have since lost a stone due to stress making my size 6 clothes hang off me eeeeek!!
Am due to have my first dress fitting in the new year and its a size 8...
I have been trying to bulk up over the past couple of weeks and gain weight but it seems to be taking so loong!!
I have been eating high calorie protein bars through the day but havn't had much success in gaining, just hoping for any tips if you ladies have any.

    Thanks
    Xx

It's in the new year so keep in mind thats just under two months away. And one of thoses months we all tend to eat a lot more.

Have you been to your GP they might be able to give you a fee healthy ways to gain weight. Sorry I can't help much more hun.

    Good luck.

It's very difficult to gain weight unfortunately. I'd second (third?) going to your GP for advice, as it's very important that you gain weight in a healthy way ie don't fill up on junk food as a 'quick fix'.

Increase your carb intake ie More rice potatoes pasta etc. Nuts and peanut butter are high in good fats. weetabix and porridge are good sources of carbs, U cant gain weight from protein alone try a protein shake with 50 grams of oats twice a day ( one at brekkie the other before bed)

Thanks E, have been eating peanut butter on bagels every day for lunch as well as a sandwhich on chicken, yoghurt, crisps, chocolate and cereal bar. Like the idea about pasta and rice, could take some things for the microwave at work.
