Hi girls, I am trying to find a gorgeous ivory dressing gown in a silk or satin finish for the morning of the wedding as I am having bridal shots done and dont want to be wearing my westie pyjamas despite them having the amusement factor. I havent seen one I like yet and dont want to buy off bay of e as I want to see it in the flesh first. Was wondering if there are any department stores where any of you have seen any nice ones? Thanks in advance.

most of the major high street store will have them now as they seem to get them in for christmas .... me things an afternoon shopping is in order for you
I was given a beautiful pale pink satin dressing gown and nightie set from m and s. It was packaged really nicely with tissue paper. I am sure they will do ivory ones too. x

I am glad that you asked this question actually. I never thought about what I am going to wear on the morning of my wedding getting ready. Probably a Winnie the Pooh nightie lol! I better get shopping too! x

BHS have some lovely ivory nightwear in silk and satin,
I spent 6 weeks looking for a knee length ivory half slip to wear under my wedding dress and couldn't find a single thing that wasn't a horrid polyester, so I bought a satin night dress for £12 in BHS and cut it in half, a strip of elastic in the top and it's perfect!!
Plus it matches the colour of the bridal basque I got off the bay purely by accident!!
For the morning I 'm going to be sat around in my onsie watching cartoons!! It's the best way to spend the morning, :D

When my sis got married we all wore matching pjs! They were only out of primark, but they were printed with "bride" and "bridesmaid" across the back.
TBH, I don't think any of us had even thought of photos until the photographer arrived and we were still in them!
I have a beautiful negligee and gown set that my cousin brought me from the states many years ago... It was too tight so I hadn't worn it, but had thought about wearing it on my honeymoon! I guess it'd be an idea to wear that the morning of the wedding if I were to get pics at home!
As the girls said, La Senza, Debenhams, BHS and M&S would probably have the best selection, but if you wanted something a little more special you could try some of the boutique underwear shops... there's one not far from us, and their underwear is beautiful, but I couldn't justify spending £60 on a bra!!!

This is my problem, I dont mind spending money on that as I will use it again but dont know where the boutique stores are as I am naieve in this area as literally just buy the odd bra set from literally wherever. No I wouldnt spend £60 on a bra but would on a nightgown if it was the right one. I just want something really elegant you know? Will have a look in BHS then and I know they do the 20% off over xmas so maybe I might get a bargain.
