    Hiya guys

So yesterday marked 6 months until the big day, today I am trying to tie lose ends of planning invitations for my sister-in-law to make, decorations for the venue, gifts for the attendants and hair styles. I've spent the morning going through wedding magazines and cutting out ideas I like to put in my scrapbook.

I suffer from anxiety and depression and am unfortunately on a long waiting list for proper treatment. My anxiety can get pretty bad and I can pull my hair (although I have also done so without even knowing). I hate it because I now have two bald patches on the back of my head and I have to alter my hair style everyday so people don't see it (Yeah, it's very noticeable). I know my hair will take 3-6 months to grow back so I need to think about my hair style for the wedding. I feel a bit uncomfortable posting about this, my fiancé is the only one who knows about my hair pulling, but I know you guys here are not judgmental :)

There is a link below of my dress and I was wondering if you guys could help me pick out a hair style. I want half up half down (all down is out of the question). My hair is medium thick, is naturally curly and frizzy, brunette, and past my shoulders (to my arm pits). I haven't decided on what tiara I will wear but I want a veil past my shoulders.

    Thanks guys :)

I really don't like them and if I want good quality ones then I'll have to pay a fair bit for something that was never budgeted. Also there's nothing for the hair extension to hold on to, the patch is either completely bald or has very short hair. But hair extensions will still be considered.

i'm not sure what else i can suggest, my auntie has alopecia and she has got a couple of very good quality wigs, as she is completely bald and is very self conscious about it.
I'll have a chat with her and see if she has any ideas i can pass on to you.

    xx

Nizoral is a shampoo that is really good at boosting hair growth, it might work for you. I used it to treat dandruff and an itchy scalp and as a bonus it made my hair grow faster and thicker (sparse spots filled in).

It's hard to give advice without actually seeing it (but I appreciate that you probably don't want pictures of it on here!) but would a french plait be possible? You could still do half up, half down but maybe have two french plaits going round the sides to meet at the back? My though is that with a french plait you pull all the hair into it, so it may be able to camoflauge the areas where the hair is missing, could this maybe an option? Some hairdressers can also do fountain french plaits which would mean that the hair would still be coming down the back xxx

@ Sarah: I'll put it on my shopping list, thank you :)

@ Linzi: Thanks for the photos, I love the look of them! I might consider a french plait like that. That's really helped :)
