    hey ladies,
we are getting married at our local registry office then we will be having our reception at a village hall which is about a 20 minute drive away, me and h2b will be staying at a hotel which is 10 minutes from the hall, we have said that our guests are welcome to book a room and join us for breakfast the following morning if they wish to, do you think we need to provide transport to and from the venues, we asked biltb as he is married and he said that guests can make thier own way there and noone should expect us to arrange thier transportation as it is our wedding. Opinions please x

We are only getting our own transport, as my H2B said why should we pay people to be with us. If they want to be there they will pay for their own transport. I wouldn't provide it if i was you. XX

We have provided a big red London bus for all our guests between the church and reception however only because we loved the bus idea but otherwise i wouldnt have bothered and down to them to transport them selves around. The only people i would check with would be those that dont drive to see if they can go with someone else and elderly people....

I've only made arrangements for my elderly grandparents, they are both quite ill though so its likely they won't be able to make it anyway, but I wanted to make things as easy as possible for them. I haven't even worked out how my BMs are getting from the guesthouse to the venue, only booked one car!!! No budget for anything :(
Every wedding we have ever been to though we have always had to find our way from the wedding to the meal bit ourselves so I wouldn't stress about it, put the money towards something else instead!! xx

weve got arrangements to help people home at night as there is no bus service at our venue so were providing a taxi to nearest train stations or town for them to get home. if we hired a bus it would be about 300 quid for a hours work this way im paying for a taxi which would cost 20 at most!!!!!
