Hello ladies After speaking to my mum earlier I'm a little concerned.... I really want an old traditional kind of car, but I'll have to travel a bit of a distance and go on the motorway, and my mum doesn't think old cars will go on the motor way, or do long distance. She suggested a limo or a hummer but this really isn't what I want... I'm really gutted. Any thoughts/suggestions?

I think you are best to ring some places up and find out what they are willing to do for you hun. I dont blame you thogh for not wanting a limo or hummer. I would like an old syle car too. :)

I went to a wedding fayre at the weekend and we were looking at the old traditional cars and none of the people we spoke to said their cars had problems travelling on motorways, only that they only did about 10 miles to the gallon. Best thing is to ring who you think you might use and ask them x

I never knew my life could be so complete
I love him, my Mr Wonderful x

Yeh I will tomorrow (well as long as I've still got a voice - think I've got tonsillitis and my voice is going!) Really worrying now though :-(

I don't see why an old car wouldn't be able to go on the motorway, as long as it was well looked after. The best thing to do is to ask.

We're planning WELL in advance!!
how far is "long distance"? Depends how old a car you're talking about I guess, but like MrsBroady said - worth ringing up a few places and finding out!!! x

Bout 45 mins.... which is know isn't that far.... but it's a long way to travel on the way to the wedding!! And that's assuming all roads are good, and using motorways! Bit worried bout cost of going that far as well!

How about a Beauford? We were originally going to have one - but you can get them in an 'old' style but they're actually replicas. The one we'd were going to book was a 1930's replica built in 2000. It was a Nissan 2800cc so would definitely have no problems on the motorway.
Ring a couple of companies and see what they have. You never know you might find they have these in their fleet.
