does any one know of a poem politely asking for donations towards the transport we are arranging for our guests to take them to and from the wedding, or a little verse just so we dont have to pull out for it all for them to attend? I was thinking we can add it in with the invites when it comes round to sending them ?xx

no but my venue is 15 mins away and im gonna have to book some mini buses for guests who cant get there or wanna drink. but im just gonna tell them that it would cost a tenner in the car to put petrol in and even more in a taxi so a 5ver ther and bk i thinks gud, i dnt think theyl have a prob with it. however im not putting it in my invites im just gonna tell them but il have a think and c if i can cum up with sumthin 4 ya. lol :) x

At a wedding I went to recently they had an 'honesty box' on the bus.

Maybe send an email or something around to people, asking how they would feel about chipping in for a coach?

Dear Guests to help you get from A to B, or from church to the venue easily we have arranged for you a special ride to pick you up and drop you right outside. We've done this to minimise your transport cost and help those without a sat nav from getting lost. I wish we could provide this service to you for free but our wedding is over budget already so we hope you don't mind if we simply say we would appreciate a donation to help us pay.

thought you could ask someone else to take on the responsibility for the transport .....then they can worry about getting the money from others ///especially if they are one the coaches !!!!!!
