So far I have been uncharismaticly calm and stress free planning our wedding Until it came to the dress! I finally bought the dress of my dreams and according to the lady in the shop I was between two sizes so she ordered the bigger size For me I was perfectly happy with that at the time but now I'm thinking I'm restricted on how much weight I can lose (my weddings in march) I'm sure I won't lose much but I've just been feeling depressed knowing I'll be spending the day I'll remember forever at this size
My dress is lace up at the back does anyone know if there's a lot of wiggle room in them?? Sorry for the rant x

So did you try on the smaller of the 2 sizes you are between? How was the lace up back was it at it's widest or didn't do up properly at all? I was the same, the shop size dress I triedon was a 12, you can see the back of mine in my pics, but as I've started running and using myfitness pal I told her there's no way I'll get bigger only smaller so she's ordered that same size 12 for me else the next size up would've been almost at its smallest on me now let alone next year. She said there's about 4 inches between the lace up being at its widest to its narrowest. So I can lose a little bit of weight but not too much else thus dress won't be tight enough and will need alterations

Well the dress I tried on in the shop was tight but still able to do up (with a bit of back fat on show!) But that sample dress will be two sizes smaller than the one she recommended I got .. Its all so confusing I'm dreading getting it back if its just all going to go wrong :(

She might've recommended it because it wasn't sitting correctly on you, even when they're done up doesn't necessarily mean it fits if you know what I mean? Did you say you were looking to loose weight? Have you got any pics of it from the back? I'm sure it'll be fine, they know what they're doing, and it can always be altered if you loose a lot of weight

Is remembering a size really that important? I think as long as you look amazing and feel great in the dress, that's all that matters.
I'm sure they know what they are doing.. I know it's hard to leave something so important in someone else's hands but she would have had lots of experience. Everything will be just fine.. and if it's not, you can always make alterations if necessary x

I feel your pain. You want to do your best and try your hardest to lose weight and look your most amazing, but what if the dress doesn't fit.
It is much easier to have altered though if its too big than too small and the corset back is probably the best option, because it is already adjustable to a certain extent. Will your budget stretch to having the dress altered if it doesn't do up tight enough? If so, I don't think you have anything at all to worry about. If you can find it in your budget, it's a small price to pay to look your absolute most amazing on your big day!
Some bridal shops do alterations included in the price, if that's the case, she may have just stayed on the side of caution with going bigger rather than smaller?
