i posted on FB that i was sat with the hubby to be watching a film and my dads cousin commented saying ohhh is there going to be a big family wedding soon? i put its a few years away yet and laughed it off because im too much of a chicken to tell her that shes not invited and none of y dads side are either! they are going to be gutted and i dont want to upset them, but i know them being at the wedding wwould cause so much trouble with my mums side as they do not get along at all. my mum has said she wont be going if they are and i would much rather my mum be there than my dads side! arrghh its awful, i have dreaded this since my parents got divirced and my mum re married when i was 7! my stepdad is giving me aay, and my dad has known foryears that he wouldnt be giving me away when i get married, but still, it doesnt make it any easier to tell them they cant come. :(

if you want them there then you need to speak to your mum and just say its your wedding day and for just 1 day you would like her to put the differences aside but if your not really fussed on them coming then make your dad tell them lol. doesnt make it any easier for you i suppose but its your day so do what makes you happy. Everyone else are your guests, including your mum x

i dont want my dad there or any of the family on that side lol i wouldnt ask my mum to do that either, what they put her through...well she has every right to say what she has said! i think making my dad tell the rest of them is a good idea though lol
