Hi all, I'm getting married in September. The day ceremony there are only 33 people attending including me and my partner . I really am stuck as too where to place everyone on the top table . Obviously because there's not many of us in the day , I don't want a big long table , but then I don't want to leave people feeling excluded. Ideally I would like me my partner both sets of parents , my moh and best man. But then there's my 14 year old step daughter and my brother who I would also like to fit in . My brother is walking me down the aisle ( my father will be giving me away , but has parkinsons and won't be able to walk me down the aisle ) so would like my brother on the top table. But that would make 10 people, would that be too many, because of the small amount of people in the day . Bit unsure what to do ?

If it's what you want do it hun.
Could your venue do a horse shoe shaped table for you? You could have the top for you 10 and the rest on the sides.
Or even have all round tables and put your table in between the others ?

I agree with Tiffany see what other table shapes are available to you and you can always put smaller numbers on the round tables to balance things out.

I was thinking if you had the table in a square C shape (if that makes sense), then you could have everyone on one side with you and the other guests up the sides. That way everyone is kind of together.

We've only got 30 guests too so have opted for one big table (sort of a giant oval) rather than a top table and guest tables. We're sitting in the middle on one side with the "top table" immediately to out left and right but we're all together too.

The horseshoe or C shape around the room os probably your beat option. Or do a sweetheart table just for you two and then sit everyone else on family tables.

there are 3 options for me
1) everyone at 1 oval/rectangle table- not my ideal 2) c shape 3- would be my choice- long top table of 10 and then 3 or 4 round tables of 6/8 - in my opinion round tables work better and are easier for waitress staff to work and clear- whereas bigger table are a nightmare as you can never reach everyone and end up having to pass plates down etc
