So far i have ordered and sent back 2 pairs of wedding shoes!! Neither of them seem to have that elegance about them compared to my dress!!!
Sooo...... i had originally seen a gorgeous pair which i think will match my dress perfectly...ordered the 3rd pair yesterday.....but there £225!!!
Is this too much for shoes that wont really be seen on the day? xx

If you can afford them, they're comfortable and you love them then no I don't think it's too much. Mine cost £270 and £330 because I love shoes and most of my heels are designer, so going non-designer on my wedding day wasn't an option lol. But, I will wear both pairs again a lot afterwards; I'd be much less likely to spend as much if I wouldn't be able to wear them again. Though that said, comfort is SO important to me and I find designer shoes way more comfortable so I guess I might have done..

Yes! I found a lovely pair for £210 but just couldnt justify the price. I'm now looking for something around £50, but cant seem to find anything that matches the expensive pair. Must keep looking. I shou;ld probably point out though that a £210 pair of shoes is a quarter of our monthly income. If you can afford them without breaking into money for bills etc then not so bad.

it just depends if you can afford them, tbh. if it affects your budget/you have to make cutbacks or whatever, then i wouldnt bother.

If you love them then why not!? You could always wear them again afterwards for special occasions?
Fancy shoes are also good photo opportunities so you can try show them off lots and get some good shots of them, have a word with your photographer and see what he/she can think of to do for some good shoe shots?

My shoes were £79 and even that seemed like a lot to me but if you can afford them then go for it :) Personally I wouldnt spend that much as my dress will cover them on the day and I couldnt jusify it xxx

It all depends on what you can afford, I could never justify that amount (but saying that my dress is more expensive then we originall planned) I've seen a pair for £69 which is expensive to me, but to others £69 might be a cheap pair of shoes. It's all relative.
Only you can answer whether you can justify the price or not
I'm interested to see what these shoes are like

My shoes were $160 but I would have spent more .... I wanted shoes that I could wear again
If you can afford them and you love them then go for it! Luckily I found a pair in the sale from d3benham5 that I really liked so they only came to about £29! Xxx

It does sound alot of money. But money is relative, if you have it, and it's not a great amount for you, why not?

Thanks ladies :) We never really set a budget for any of the wedding anyway lol!! oops!! I probably would say i cant afford them as i could spend that money on something else.....but..... they are just so perfect, really think they will go with my dress a treat :) hehe!! There on there way now anyway, you never know i may get them and not like them (like the last 2 pairs) haha!!
Love the idea about the photographer making something out of them too. And to try to justify them a bit more, i will probably sell them on after :-/ if i have the heart to (or no heart to haha)!
The shoes are Rainbow Club Daisy Hill.....would love your opinions on them :) xx

My shoes were £215 and then another £30 to have them dyed ... however I have worn them again a few times. I probably wouldn't have spent the same money if they weren't going to get worn again.
Had a quick look ... They're SO PRETTY!!

Personaly I would not spend that much on shoes, but thats me, but then again I would not normaly spend £8/900 on a dress for 1 day. If its what you want and you can afford it , go for it.

Thanks for all the adivce ladies, the shoes came today and they are gorgeous however the sparkly detail on the T part of the t-bar is too heavy for the material of the tbar it sits on and wont sit straight, keeps moving around which i know would irritate me lol!! So......there going back!! aghhhh i have 6 weeks to find my shoes lol!! xx

If you like them and can afford them, go for it! I've found a pair of shoes that I really like and they're £20. They'll be hidden under my dress most of the time and nobody will know the difference unless I tell them how much they are :o)

I could never justify spending that much on shoes...I was lucky I got mine from irregular choice but from schuh on eBay and they cost me £32 instead of £112
