Hi girls,

My dress is lace covered with chiffon underneath and the shoes I am going to buy have a kind of lace covering too. I am also making wee book page roses (like the ones on kirsties handmade britain) and lace trim flowers. I am happy with all this but with my style of dress and I am not having a bolero or shawl I was going to get a parasol. Now Ive found some gorgeous lace parasols but I am not sure if I am over doing it a wee bit? The lace flowers will be attached to the outside of the birdcages (so will the wee paper roses) and there will only be a couple of them on each birdcage. Will this be too much lace if I get the parasol too? I think with my hair in the Betty Grable style it will look lovely to have a parasol too but the only pretty ones I can find are lacey!

I've got a similar issue myself hun, lace dress and getting a bolero/wrap thing, wasnt sure whether to keep that plain or go for the lace wrap too... I'll keep an eye out for other replies x

oooh good idea girls, Brilly those pics are lovely arent they. I really love the idea plus it will be nice for summer. Jill - I think that a lace bolero would look lovely. I would get a bolero cos I love them but I am working hard on my arms and shoulders so that bit of my body looks toned, the rest is covered so I dont care hahaha and my man doesnt like boleros (he always moans when I wear them - weirdo!!)

To be honest hun I'm not big on boleros myself, they make me look boxy but I'd rather look boxy than have an overspill lol x I found something online called a wrapor shrug - it looks like a wrap but you put it on like a bolero... lovely! :) x

I was trying to get all the photos and stick them together but dont know how to do it. You know like those picture board thingys. I might print all the stuff off and stick them in my scrap book :-)

I really love the idea, I hope my man thinks its nice too....lol

Thank you :-) I need to find a nice parasol made of lace for as cheap as poss but the ivory colour needs to match too.....I've found one thats gorgeous for £34.99 but I am so unbelievably skint I could do with one cheaper than that. In fact one as cheap as possible lol :-)

My H2B likes the wee lace flowers Ive made and he likes the shoes Ive picked so he may have guessed its a lace dress.....I may have ruined the surprise lol
