Was trying dresses on yesterday and the lady said not to lose too much weight as the shape looks lovely now, but I'm still 1.5-2stone from my target weight. As am not happy with my body so should I keep losing or not as don't want to lose my shape but do have quite chubby legs and hips lol

She is obviously advising you for a reason that your shape now is good for the style of dress you have chose. She may have said not to loose too much weight due to maybe seeing other brides do that and the dress not look as good and she probably doesn't want you to go to lots of effort to loose weight to then find that your dream dress doesn't look as good.

Have you ordered your dress yet? If not why don't you try to loose some weight ASAP and then see if you still love the look. It is a difficult thing to be told when I think we all want to loose some weight for our weddings

If you haven't ordered a dress yet then go for it! If you have, she might be gently advising against it because of the alterations costs, along with the potential for your shape to change to a point where a different style of dress may end up looking better.

I was over 11 stone (overweight for my height) and I'm now 9st 5 and I will admit that before I was an hourglass shape with a ginormous chest, and but I haven't lost that shape just because I'm not as big as I was, but I am teetering the line between hourglass and pear shape. I've dropped 2 dress sizes, and changed bra size completely. So she's not wrong, losing 1.5 - 2 stone could change your shape, but I think if you are an hourglass, pear, apple or whatever, that is your body shape so the likelihood is if you do it you are still going to have a smaller waist or bigger hips etc. just because of the way YOU are proportioned compared to others.

Sadly zone reduction doesn't really work either so weight loss tends to be all over, or not at all. xx

I find the 30 day challenges are quite good, but also i have a Victoria's Secret workout pinned that I do a couple of times a week. It's not super intense, but it's more than a beginner workout, and I'm finding everything is getting a bit... firmer? Lol. xx

The best dance DVD I had (for me anyway, because i can't dance for sh**) was called Bodylicious... it sounds ridiculous but I found I toned up a lot and it was easy to follow. If you are co-ordinated though, Tracy Anderson's dance workout stuff is *beastly* and fantastic for toning and weight loss apparently because she's all about keeping a feminine shape, but I couldn't keep up with her! xx

I loved 30 day shred I just don't have time to do it atm with my LO running around, I recently did he 30 squat challenge tho and felt a lot more toned by the end of that (plus it's only about 5 mins of work out a day) so easy to squeeze in to a busy day, you could always adapt this one and us weights to work your arms at the same time. I might try a dance work out at some point as hopefully lo will just think were having fun and dance along with me without causing to many issue (she would sit on me when I was doing the 30 day shred as there is a lot of floor work)
