So after my stress out yesterday i was stressing about everything and thought well its as bad as its going to get right. Wrong Janine, wrong. My temp is still sitting at 38.7 with regular paracetemol so im going to call the doc again and i think im having a reaction to the penicillan as ive got a dickie tummy and a constant headache. this morning i had my occupational health appointment that i need before theyll let me start my nursing course in september and they failed me because i have seizures. i need to wait til the doc comes in tomorrow and decides whether they need a report from my doc or whether i need to get a review at neurology and even then its not guaranteed im going to get passed. so my nursing career may have just gone tits up. the problem with that is ive never wanted to do anything different. ive always wanted to be a nurse and have no back up plan. Then feeling feverish and sad i was on the bus home and 2 girls from my college class were on the bus (those of you who have seen my rants before know my class are a nightmare) and declared that because i had a seizure last monday during an assessment ( even though the assessment was finished and i wasnt in the room ) everyones having to resit the assessment and its all my fault. why am i even there anyway i just ruin it for everyone was part of their speech. i feel utterly sh*te. sorry for the rant but i feel so crap x

sounds like a nightmare day. Ignore the evil girls - they're just jealous and petty! Speak to your tutor about the assessments and hear it from them not someone else. You need to wait until you hear the results of teh review - i'm sure your doctor will support you all the way and hopefully taht will be enough. Keep your chin up and hopefully things will start to look up. If you dont get on to your course, go speak to the careers adviors where you do the course and hopefully they will be able to suggest some alternatives where you can still use the skills you wnat to get with the nursing. x

hun! somebody get the girl some chocolate! you poor thing - they are stupid and up their own arses! stuff 'em completely! do you know their names, i'll look em up on facebook and give em hell! you will sort out the course and there are other nursing options, speak to the course leader and ask what else you could do in the nursing field if the seizure are something to worry about. but chances are you will get on the course - you'll see! if you loook at it from the side of it is a disability, you cant be discriminated against because of it. if they are aware of it, then they can mak allowances for you and make it that you are never alone for long periods of time - which nurses generally aren't you work as part of a team! look up epilepsy action (not that this isnt what you have :)) but they have policies about discrimination and statements that keep people with epilepsy from being kept out of certain professions - could help you argue your case if you need to i would call the nhs direct and say you think you are having a bad reaction to pencillin, the nurses on there should be able to help you. chin up darlin! we are here for you! x x x

lol mrsh! ive got it on in the background just now. these girls are a nightmare, on the christmas night out i got slapped by one of them for no reason while another 3 shouted at me, ive had work stolen and ripped, been bullied and mocked. sat on my own to eat my lunch most days (not now ive made 2 good friends in the class) BUT they all used to laugh at me when i sat and ate my lunch so i ended up eating it outside, even in the toilets once. they accused me of lying about my kids etc on numerous times ive been put down in class for asking a question. ive been told not to come into college coz im going to get 'done in'... im the youngest in the class! everyone else is between 22 and 60!

i would go and tell your tutor - thats bullying hun and completely uncalled for! seriously! and if your seizures are stress related - i go weak at the knees and pass out when severely stressed out - then they could be causing them! oooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! am so cross i want to punch them for you :) i really will! where are you based hun? I'll be on the bus after work tomoz! i cant abide bullies - they really cheese me off! i was bullied loads at school and in high school i put my foot down and said enough was enough - started to fight back :) now i take no prisoners at school - they wont put me in charge of the bullying program at school cause i would just thump the little buggers! honestly i would. big hugs darlin! x x x x

nah, you need to fight back - its the last thing the expect - like when everyone was teasing me on a school trip, no one expected me to throw a chair at the girl, and they definately didnt expect me to hit the school bitch in the face with my kit bag when she was pushing me on the stairs! a little passive aggression, such as giving them the finger when they start on you and just walking away with a 'phuh' at them works too. :)

Will try and sort stuff out about your dress when I see you on the 3rd April, also will help you work out a plan of action against those bullies in your class and any other help you need lass just ask, and I will do my upmost to help you.

Bullies really wind me up, few people have ever tried to bully me, those who did try it where promptly informed they would regret it and they really would have so I've not really been in the ssituation but I have been witness to sveral people being bullied and put an end to it. They are just pathetic jealous petty individuals who are obviously seriously lacking themselves. Wait and see how things go with the nursing, I'm sure it will all work out and there is no point in fretting about it until you've spoken to the doc etc. Hope your temp has improved, if not contact nhs direct. My friend is epileptic and had fits whilst studying and never had any problems, she's now been qualified 4 years!!!! Only thing is she can't work nights, but that hasn't affected her getting jobs she wants on different unit!!! You need to look into it more at the uni you're meant to be going too, as my uni are supportive of a lot of conditions!!!! It might be that they want to know what is wrong with you for certain before they allow you on the course. Xx

My dad is allergic to pennicilin too, it's a right pain for him, luckily he doesn't get sick often. Hope you feel better hun x

I think you have to declare if you've had fits in the last year. Unfortunately they can refuse you entry into nursing in case you fit at an arrest or something. You have to declare mental health conditions too, which I have done and they still have me on the course. I hope things feel better soon, and that you get accepted. Hugs,Rosi x
