Im that type of person Laura that i'll happily say if i dont like or want something lol.

They know me well enough to put up with it :-) You could say it in a nicer way, like her tan might go patchy or look unnatural x

Right, I've decided I'm gonna get some strapless tops and rush outside when its warm and sunny and try and get some tan! Lol, I guess I'll be doing the gardening in strapless tops and praying they don't fall down and scare the neighbours!

never had spray tan and never will, as I am against everything that is not natural, I very rarely wear foundation, and will do on wedding day but even doing this upsets me already as its not me, I have seen some people with fake tan and its so obvious it looks ridiculous if there is too much of it, so I would not recommend. go sunbed gradually it looks much better

The thing with Spray tans is, its all in the preparation. You need to exfoliate for about 2weeks beforehand & also moisturize. You especially need to exfoliate, ankles, knees & elbows as these are all areas that have rougher skin. exfoliate more on areas that are prone to dryness, otherwise you will probably get patchy areas. I use Fake bake cream tanner & its brilliant, you can get it from debenhams & if you buy the package then it comes with a brill exfoliant & a oil that you use after showers to make the tan easier to apply. If you did all this then you would be okay but I'm sure it will get bit hectic in the run up weeks to your wedding. personally I'm going to go on the sunbeds but start really slowly so only for 3mins the first week & slowly build it up I can get the colour i want.

    I hope this helps xxx

You should also exfoliate before going on a sub bed too as make your tan last longer and look better. Just before going on the sunbed you should use tan cream which mosturisers the skin and helps you absorb the colour so you wont need to go as often to get the desired colour, tanning salons sell tan cream and normally about a £1 for a little packet. Then after every session you should mosturise, treat it like you have been in the sun normally.

I'm not sure what to do as of yet. We're getting married 6th October and I'm really worried I'm going to have strap marks from walking about in best tops all summer. I'm not really a fan of strapless tops even though my dress is strapless. Would a spray tab or regular sunbeds be better?

I will be getting married as me, pale. Not a fan of fake tan, far to much hassle and I certainly don't want to look like an orange oompa loompa

Spray tans look fab while they last but I always go patchy a few days later no matter how much I exfoliate and moisturise so I think I will leave it for my wedding and just match my wedding dress! xx

I'm hoping to get outside as often as possible when the nicer weather starts in strapless tops and then me & h2b were thinking of doing a couple sunbed sessions closer to the time so we're both a bit tanned for the honeymoon aswell...xx

I'm not going to bother trying to tan. I am hoping to get married in August though so I may get a small tan over summer but I wont be trying for one. And my MOH is half cast and the other tans loads but it doesn't bother me. That is what they are always like and I will be how I always am, the photos will be real relfections of all os us then, not fake ones xxx

good comments! ive got 2 out of 3 bm's that have agreed no tanning but MOH is still being quiet on the subject so will bring it up when i next see her. she will just have to realise that for 1 day its about me and H2B and not whether she looks all brown!x

i haven't got the time to exfoliate and rub cream every day, so my fake tans always look crap after a few days lol

i thought about fake tan, but i plan on using the pool, so it'll be wrecked before the day and i'll look stupid. my skin colour is a little strange. it looks like i have tan lines down my arms, but it's just the pigmentation of my skin. so i can look like i've had a streaky tan, no matter what i do lol

i plan to go on a few sunbeds before i go to cyprus, so i start my tan off. my face is less likely to burn then

i'm gonna get a spray tan for my wedding but i never considered it rubbing off on my dress, i'm probably gonna have to do a test run like one of the other ladies suggested and keep on some white clothes to see if it rubs off... but i think i'm probably gonna ask the people that actually provide the spray tan you know they should know whether they'll rub off and if they do i might go on the sunbeds on the weeks running up to the wedding :S ahh i dunno... but first i'd ask the professional spray tanners opinion lol!! :) x

If you sit in the sun at all a sunbed does exactly the same as the normal sun but intensified... so if you do 3 minutes on the sun bed it is more like 3 hours in the natural sun. I dont go on sunbeds very often but do occasionally with a night out/wedding come up so my tan is even and during the normal summer i hardly ever sun bath as the same damage as a sun bed anyway?!

hi girls just glancing over a few comments about going orange with fake sprays.......... salons do not use a colour tailored to your skin tone its basically one does for all.....its based on the amino acids in your reacting wth the spray.....the colour you go as soon as youve had your spray done isnt always necesary the colour you will stay...you need to shower this "top layer" off and wash with a moiturising shower gel...to look after it properly (and this sounds mad) is exfoliate!!!!! it takes away the dead skin cells and make your tan last longer....also b4 sprayage your therapist should put a barrier cream on your knees, elbows and toes as this stops a "clogged up look" of tan in one area its also because skin is generally drier in this areas and makes the tan stand out more!!!!!
Pointers on getting a spray tan:

    1. Ask your therapist what colour they r using and whether its good for your skin tone, if not you can ask to change it, youre paying after all!
    2. Ensure barrier cream is used for an even tan
    3. RELAX! when getting sprayed its important to relax esp your face, because if you wrinkle it more spray will land in the creases and tan will not be even
    4. Take your time to dry!!!!! theres nothing worse than getting a spray done to hurrying for the next person! DONT! your spray wont be even and WILL rub off unless your dry!
    5. Also dont wear a bra or socks when done because this will also rub off your tan unless your dry

i find the best way to get a spray is to get a mobile lady that way you can dry in the comfort of your own home!!!!!!!!!

ive asked my bm's not to tan and 2 out of 3 are fine with it the other one my MOH is kicking up such a fuss about not wearing tan that its making me and H2B argue and feel like we just want to run away and get married. Ive been in tears 3 times coz all i want is for her to just think of me for one day and not what she will look like or what she wants. im seeying her tomorrow and im going to tell her for the last time i dont want her to get a spray tan . END OF!X

Just thought id update. My MOH no longer wants to be my MOH because she didnt like being told not to wear fake tan and she thinks i havent been supportive of her recently or been there for her which is a load of rubbish! ive now got to finish off organising my hen and pay for it(she has given me everyones money) She has also going to pay for her dress now as its useless to me! im a little upset but the way she has treated me the last few months its probably a good thing. Ive told H2B not to have her husband as a usher now and i dont want anymore hassel over my wedding and wouldnt want any bad feelings on the day or for her to tell him on the day no you cant be a usher now. H2B is gutted but i said you can still br friends i jsut thinks its best he doesnt come . I still have 2 great bridesmaids who i know will make my day a happy one and go smoothly and as long as we get married thats all that matters x
