I was after a bit more help with my invites please ladies,
I have all my wording sorted etc, but to RSVP, i have listed my address, but i know it is alot easier these days for ppl to text, ....do you think its ok to put mobile numbers in to rsvp with?
CommentAuthorSsouter
I don't see why not! You're probably more likely to get a response quicker if they can text.
Although you won't have the rsvp cards to keep if you don't get them sent back (that's if you're bothered about keeping them).

Well, i know myself and i would think ohh i shall text straight away, lol rather than hunting about for a card and then forgetting to send it off..( i admit i am useless) and no, not bothered about the rsvp cards, which will sit in a box in the loft no doubt. xx i just didnt know whether it would be ok to include phone numbers. xxx Thanks hun xxx

We've put our personal emails as RSVP to make it easier, but plenty of my other friends have set up a joint email account for replies - we just didn't want to have too many, I have 3 emails already!
CommentAuthorNailed
Ive popped my mobile number on the RSVP and I hope they txt me.. itll make my life easier! lol

Im using my rsvps as a guide of numbers,
so their is just one source of whos all come rather than looking at texts, cards, letters, facebook,
And well you can maybe forget whos text or delete it etc!!
Just my thoughts though lol

We had rsvp cards with email and website details s well as postal address but we had a few people say they hadn't got invites so I setup a private facebook event and most people have done it on there. I originally wanted to do invites on facebook but MIL complained so we spent £135 quid on something we have also done for nothing!
Got married 11/11/11.

I have a guest list on here, so when i receive an rsvp i can just tick it off....thats not a problem :) i also have left the postal address on too if people did want to send a card rsvp to us instead. That i recon, should have it covered. xx
CommentAuthorWeeMintyMonkie
yeh,
i just now i will work better with the cards but everyone is different.

We've got an rsvp website that lets them choose their menus as well as telling us who's coming. We've found it pretty useful so far! I know if we got them to send back cards I'd lose them. Or the baby would eat them or something! x

We put our address, phone number and email address - so people had no excuse for not replying!
Now Mrs Cobb!!!!!! :-D

I've been sorting out ours and I've put my email address (tho thinking of making up one specifically for these), Rys mobile number and my address. I did set up a website but the stupid thing kept adding accommodation that we didnt want and wouldnt delete it so i scrapped that idea though it would have been useful for all other info! but if you include a fone numbe and address too then people have no excuse like kaya says x
i cannot wait to marry my best friend

I'm from the days of if you received a wedding invite you would toddle off up to the Post Office or newsagents and buy a little RSVP card
So I was groaning inwardly when I came across you are 'supposed' to put RSVP cards in with the invites these days!
I'm just sending invites out with our address and phone number on
I'm also not doing maps! Most people can access Multimap or they know where to go anyway or they can ask!
I don't want a bulky envelope stuffed with paper and card, I want people to see the invite! Plus, people will HAVE to phone us if they want to know more info and tell us if they are coming. Well, when I say ring US, I mean ring h2b lol as I'm deaf. All my friends have my mob number for texting or email addy or can reach me on bookface anyway ;0)
I used to love going and buying those little RSVP cards for other people's weddings, they are not very expensive :)
Finally Mrs Grove :)

I told them they could reply to either of our fb's too and set up an event. I kept it vague "Details as on your written invitation" and then included everyone who was on fb and invited. Infact, apart from one text, all our guests to date have replied this way.

My friend put her n her hubbys mobile numbers, but Im a bit old fashioned Id like to recieve RSVP cards, but I may just use the tool on here, love how everything is so easily accessible.

H2b wanted to put his mobile number for texting, but i know how much he overlooks texts on his phone and wouldnt do anything about it and then forget about it etc so i put my foot down and said no. We are having people rsvp via an email address so that it goes straight on to our system. Not a website thing that has cost us money, just a specific email address on h2bs domain that he owns.
CommentAuthorLittleMissBossy
We have a wedding website - there are loads out there for free. On there is all the info regarding maps, acommodation and times. The actual invite will just be a clean card.
It’s so great to find that one special person
you want to annoy for the rest of your life....
CommentAuthorbridalmiss
Yeah we've done it similar to LittleMiss, our invites are simple with all addresses and maps on the website, and our RSVP is by email :-)
CommentAuthorClareS
My invites will have a map (with directions and accommodations options), a card with all the menu options and the rsvp. my rsvp's will have menu options on them so I know who is having what. I'm hoping they'll be used as i'm putting a self stamped address envelope in with them. If not i'll have my email address on there. Either way as long as i get the menu options with any yes replies i don't mind. They will all be warned if no reply, or partial reply with no food options, then they will not be catered for. I've got enough to do and refuse to chase people up, if they can't be bothered to do one simple thing for us whilst we're doing all this planning then they don't deserve to be there. x
