right my wedding dress is blood red and black, when i first found it i commented to one of my bm that maybe we could do one bm in red and one in black but ive been thinking recently that maybe this isnt such a good idea as the groom is going to be in a red shirt (he is always so hot so dont want him to have to wear a waistcoat or anything to much or he will over heat he can walk around in winter in just a t-shirt and be to hot!) and i think if im in red and the groom and best man have red on and a bm has red its going to take he effect of my dress away, one of my bm really doesnt want to wear black which i can understand and i want them to be comfortable so trying to think of a different colour the bm's could wear so my dress still has its full effect any ideas? i was thinking maybe blue? were going for 50's style dresses for the bm's as most bm dresses are a bit boring lol and one of my bm is stick thin and the other is a larger lady and finding something to suit them both isnt easy (i also want them to be happy in the dress so they can help pay for it) what do you lovely ladies think?

its only one of my bm thats a pain the other only has a problem with some colours as she is doing the flowers and needs colours she can work with which is fine, the bm who is doing the flowers has said that aubergine, olive green, green and black go so after talking to the fussy bm found out she prefers either olive green or grey so will have a look for dresses in them colours. i do like the idea or cream with a red sash tho will look into that to thanks ladies

How about different shades of red?
My dress has red in it and was going to put the bms in the same red but as my sister reminded me my niece has red hair and she really doesnt look good in bright red so im going to put the bridesmaids in more of a burgundy colour (all dresses on my profile) then im going to get different shades of red for the flowers etc that way my dress still stands out and my niece wont be uncomfrtable :-)

love your dress hails its gorgeous! i did think about that but my MOH/florist wants colours she can work with for making the bouquet and some colours offend her lol will have to check if she can use it, i know she doesnt want other bright colours as my dress is blood red which i understand, this is all a bit much for me have no fashion sense lol

Yer oliver green was an option but after seeing some dresses in that colour i ruled it out as its minging lol my MOH isnt telling me to do anything just suggesting things when i ask her its my other bm who is being a pain or we would have had black bm dresses but she doesnt want to wear black i think its a sweating problem for if its to warm which i understand coz wearing black makes me really hot to if its just a block colour and im in the sun
