Hey ladies, I had my hair trial a few months back and my hair is to heavy to hold the curls and curls is what I really wanted. I am stressing about how to have my hair and contemplating having it chopped. I have my next trial coming up. Believe it or not picking my wedding dress was easier than trying to work out what to do with my hair, any suggestions? There is a pic of my hair in my album, would appreciate if someone could upload on to this thread, thank you x

have you asked the hairdresser? I don't know if thinning out your hair would work to take out some weight? I would try not to get too much off the bottom as the length looks good

I'd definitely have your hair thinned properly so you get curls with the same length, a bit of volume and just make sure they cut it so the shape when curled is what you want...

heres your image hun, I would see your stylist or your normal hair dresser and maybe ask what the options are as if your hair is too thick and heavy getting it chopped may not help as torianixon and kelly said hun it may need thinned x

your hairdresser really should have given you advice
Wow you have lovely hair and so long. I think you should speak to your hairdresser first, speak to her and ask her the best way to get the curls to stay in.... maybe it just needs thinnning out? I think its quite extreme to just chop your hair off because maybe its the texture of your hair rather than the length?! xxx

You have beautiful hair. I too would have thought having thinning layers in would make it lighter and easier to keep a curl in. With hair that pretty I certainly wouldn't cut it off

I was going to suggest having it thinned too. My hair is so thick every haridresser i go to comments on how thick it is (one even tried charging me MORE to fry it moaning it was taking ages to dry and she had customers waiting!)
Try asking if they can thin it out a bit, it looks lush!

Hey Kirsty,
I don't want to be rude about your hairdresser, especially as you're already stressed enough, but I really don't believe that your hair is too heavy for curls, and I think your hairdresser has been lazy, both with styling your hair and advising you about it.
I have a lot of stupidly long hair and curling them with my GHDs and some good quality hairspray really works (i know hair is different on everyone though).
I'm so sorry to be blunt, but to me it's half a job - either she hasn't curled your hair properly, or she hasn't taken the time to give you the options available to you in order to allow you to have your DREAM hair.
This is your wedding hun, it's YOUR day. I don't think you should cut your hair (length) to get the style you want.
Sorry if any of that sounds mean, but I think that's complete incompetency from her and it's not fair on you.
