I take utovalin daily hun. This controls when i have my TMI as it literally happens the day after i stop taking it.

Best thing to do is speak to ur doc as im unsure if u can take it whilst on the implant

    Happily Married! :) xxx

Dr or surgery nurse, they have ways, but don't leave it til the last minute, I had some for when we went on holiday and had to start taking it a bit before (can't remember how long exactly).

I'm deffo going to get something - I just know it would be my luck lol

They can give you a pill called norethisterone; however, typically you start taking it before you're due, and then continue it until you want to come on, so, I'm not sure how it works if you get irregular bleeding. Either way, speak to your GP or Family Planning Clinic and they'll be able to advise :-)

I would imagine you could take Norethisterone starting three days before your wedding up until you want to come on, you would normally begin taking it three days before your period is due so this seems the best idea. You take one pill three times daily although you may still get some symptoms, eg pain, bloating mood swings etc

    Hope this helps x

This is something I was thinking about - it would definitely be just my luck as I suffer terribly. My wedding is too far away to work it out yet but knowing that there are things available makes me feel a whole lot better. x

This happened to my friend when she got married 2 years ago! She didnt let it bother her though, just made up for it later ;) There is a pill you can take to delay it, but you need to know when you are due, so I'm not sure it will work with the implant. How long is left on your implant could you have it taken out early? (Sounds drastic but it literally takes minutes to take out and doesnt hurt!). xx

A couple of years ago my sister got something from the dr to delay hers when she went on D of E and when she had her next P she was in agony and was the worst one she ever had... I'd speak to your local family planing centre x

my friend is on the implant and hates it, shes bled every day since getting it, she has decided when its out its staying out!

Me on the other hand, I take cerazette daily. I started it the day i came on (normally im heavy for about a week) 2 days later i finished, i continued to take the pill daily & have been on it for over a year i think, i have not had a period since the first 2-3days i took this pill! Its amazing no cramps, no pains, no blood...nothing! (i take pregnancy tests every 3months just incase though but so far all clear no scares/worries)

I'm on the implant & it has really mucked up my cycle, some months theres nothing then another month I could bleed for 3 weeks, nightmare.
Anyway before going to florida I visited the nurse as I certainly didnt want my period ruining my holiday & she put me on the mini pill (can't remember which one), she said a lot of people have problems with the implant, so take the pill too.
