    Hi,

Last night we were trying to decide what time to have the cars pick myself and the bridesmaids up. My wedding is at 2pm and from my parents house will take around 15 minutes. Does the photographer take a few pictures of us walking to cars or is it just straight out to the cars? What time would anyone suggest? xx

At my friends wedding the photographer had left her house and gone to the church to take photos of groom greeting guests etc by the time we were getting into the cars. The photographer then came out to take pics of us arriving at church in cars, this took around 15 mins. I would say cars to arrive at about twenty past, half past one to allow for travel and photos. You could always ask photographer how long he/she needs to capture car shots and plan from there.
    Hope this helps xx

Thanks Em! We have a photographer with us at my parents and the another photographer at the hotel with the groom. I had originally said to pick Bm and mob up at 1.30 and then me at 1.40 but think I should change this? xx

I'd say maybe 1.15pm for BM and you.. Then you can have pics with the cars with your BM's and then after they go, pics of you and your dad or whoever you'll be travelling with.. Plus allows time just incase of freak traffic or something like that xxx

Oh really, I would def ask photographer how long he/she needs for car shots then just to make sure your not rushed into the car, out of the car and straight up the aisle. I know i'll be needing a few mins of deep breathing time between getting out car and walking into the church haha xx

Ask your photographer and car company. They should both have an idea of timings as they'll have done plenty of weddings before

If you're getting married at 2pm - even giving time for pics, you should be fine getting the transport for about 1.35pm. That still gives you about 10 mins for pics (or a bit longer if you want to be a little late).

We got married at 2.45pm and it was about 5 mins to the venue. I set off with my dad at 2.35pm, and the photographer took pics of me arriving, getting out of the car, and we also had a few picks of my dad and myself and also me with my bm etc. I was still on time for the wedding as well lol.

Don't forget, if you have a vintage car/horse & carriage then they do not go as fast as normal cars - for instance i am getting a horse and carriage and we are getting married at 1.30, the venue is only 15 mins away in a car but with that i need to allow at least 30 mins so that will include pics as you have said and getting in and out and obviously getting there! :D xxxx
