I took 3 days off before the Wedding and went back to work 5 days after as we delayed our Honeymoon until a few months later.
I was quite organised with everything so just relaxed in the days leading up to it, spent time with family and had my nails done!!!
I wouldn't of taken anymore time off before of we got married again, as it was nice to be kept busy!!!

I've taken a week. By that point we should only have the last minute things to do. We can work on the favours in the run-up while we're still working. We'll have to decorate the church, and get the flowers in which really needs to be the day before. The cake also needs to be done late in order to stay fresh. Otherwise barring any last minute problems we shoudl be ok.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

Although my wedding isn't for a while i'm planning on having 4 days off before my wedding, although that will only mean i need to take 2 days off work.
I think any longer and i would be over thinking about things
Im planning on doing 1.5 days before the wedding. Weve got a bank holiday the monday and get married on the friday so im hoping that will allow for plenty of time to get sorted. :) Agree with KimW33, if i have any longer i would over think everything.

I get married on a Monday so will book annual leave for the Saturday and Sunday and ask to have my two days off on the Thursday and Friday so I'll have four days. I'm then having the whole week after off :) as were going on honeymoon 7 months after xx

We got married on a Saturday of a bank holiday weekend. I took Thursday and Friday off work, Dan didn't take any time off; he went in early on the Friday so he could leave early. We both had the Monday off as it was a bank holiday and then back to work on the Tuesday. We had our honeymoon three weeks after we got married. We are both self employed so I couldn't justify taking any more than that off.

we are getting married on a friday. i have booked the 4 days off before. but im thinking that i might rearrange them so i just have weds and thursday off now. i think 2 days before the wedding is plenty for me cus im pretty organised and wont have much to do those days except drop stuff off at venue pick up dress and have nails done. i would rather have time off after the wedding as we are moving to married quarters in northern ireland and have nothing so lots of shopping and setting up house! x

I only work 2 days per week. We are getting married on a Saturday so I will be off Wednesday Thursday and Friday before. I think this is plenty for me as I am organised. H2B will probably only take the Friday before off. We haven't decided on when we are going on Honeymoon yet. I will be off the week after the wedding no matter what though

I'm a house-wife-to-be for the moment, but I think my fiance will take the day before off. My family fly to the UK so we will need to be around.

I get married on a Sunday and plan on taking the Friday off of work. I work in a school so don't work weekends, however, I am hoping that they agree to me having this day off as it falls on the last day of a term and sometimes schools (understandably) can be funny about having the last day of a term off. Fingers crossed though it gets okayed.

Only having the Friday off to have a spa day! With my honeymoon I wouldn't have enough holidays left! I'm happy with that though as I'm very organised so should be fine (hopefully!!) X

I was fortunate that from a month before the wedding for three weeks I was between years at uni so made sure things were organised as the week running up to the wedding was full on at uni every day. I finished on the Friday at 4pm the day before. I think you have enough time finishing on the 21st.
