When i tried my dress on i was adament i only wanted a headband style tiara and no veil, now im not so sure, i think they can look lovely and finish the outfit off, but we are not getting married in a church, and quite late in the day, so is it a waste? Did anyone have the same quandry? Any thoughts? thanks ladies x x
CommentAuthorXLittleMissMe!X
It is never a waste if you try one on and love it. It doesn't matter if its a civil or a church wedding if you feel you want it then have it. I wasn't sure about it either but after finding my dress and them putting on a veil I knew I couldn't not have one. Go with your heart.

Im not really a veil or tiara kinda girl to be honest so ive got my older girls in tiaras instead and with the hairstyle i want im gonna have to bigggg flowers in my hair instead :-) i think there is a pic in my album? if so its the one with big pink flowers but mine will be red/burgandy

I'm not too sure either, though I have tried on a dress that I love and both a tiara and veil don't go so at present my dress is determining what I'm going to wear.
Sorry not much help here. :-))
CommentAuthorRach (Mrs H)...
Yeah Hails i thought of flowers too, i think prob the sensible thing to do ( aka advice from mum) is to wait until fitting of dress and try on both... but i prefer those tiara headbands which are flat to your head and i think a veil might look a bit daft!! Anyway ill stop worrying about that, now ive got it off my chest, and worry more about save the dates!! lol x x x Thans ladies x
I never thought I'd like tiaras - I thought they were what princesses wore and hated the idea. I'm going to have a veil with a headband of tiny (fake) ivory rosebuds xxx

It depends on how you are having your hair. I've seen lots of brides with up do's with the veil tucked in at the back. You can also have them tucked at the top with or without a tiara with hair down etc so I think you can get away with just about anything. Talk to your hairdresser about it.

urgh i most difinitely only wanted a tiara. i'm not a veil kind of girl. but as mother is paying i've lost the battle. they put a lovely tiara on me with my dress but it wasn't till the veil appeared that she cried. i looked like an effing mushroom! only five foot three with this bloody great helmet. nightmare!
CommentAuthorToops
LOL, oh dear bagpuss, I can only picture it and can't stop laughing. Just think you can take if off after the ceremony.

I am not having a veil and i can't decide whether i want a tiara or just some hair pins yet, I think its hard to decide until you know how you want your hair, decisions, decisions. x

I wasn't having either but one of my bestest friends said hers would match my jewellery perfectly if I wanted to borrow them so now I don't know. I think I'll try them on and see.
