honestly they are really, REALLY easy to make!! you just need a crochet haed band and some tulle. cut the tulle into strips, double the length you need. fold it in half and loop around the spaces in the headband!! NO SEWING NEEDED!! if you want to make them fancy, you could stick wee flowers/butterflies/sparkly stuff to it.
i'm going to do it in white with one length of aqua (my colour) tulle at the back :)

oh that DOES sound easy! I can crochet too so could make the headband myself i am guessing, I would LOVE to see our fl in apink one of these. Thanks so much for sharing this, i think i may give it a go and see how i get on :)

just described this to my OH and she LOVES the idea and is coming on after work to look at them, wondering if we can make the skirt baby pink and white and still look ok, add some mesh butterflies and iron on gems.....

if you want you could watch a video on youtube on how to make a tutu
whenever i pictured my babies in flower girl dresses, i saw them in big, white, poufy dresses. i haven't seen anything like that anywhere until i saw these!!
you can buy lots of different colour tulle and headband on the bay. oooh and hair clips to put on the top half!!

i just bought some plain white tulle for the underskirt, and light pink glittery for the top layer :) I figure two head bands for the dress (one for the band one for the neck strap) and the same one for thier head.
I am SO excited i cant even begin to tell you, hope you dont mine me stealing youre idea :)
Funny enough i just watched a ffew on youtube ha ha ha, one lower tutu with no sewing, and a few others

I totally just went to Kisywisy's profile page to see if her H2B's last name was really bananaman and a first glance I was like OMG IT IS! And then I realised it actually says Bannerman. LOL

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the skirt but would want to add a little bit more fabric to the top (not sure why though!!!!) Good luck with making them, i bet ur FGs are going to look so cute xxx

Yes i was thinking that top maybe a little low etc, but I was thinking maybe a boob tube top under it or cutting a babygrow style vest down to just under the dress, sewing some elastic in so it stays up, that way it will also stop the tutu material from feeling rough on the skin. I just need to wait for the white netting and the headbands to arrive, couldnt be bothered going shopping so ordered em of bay-e
I'll let you all know i theyre easy or hard to make ( and trust me if I Find it easy ANYONE will cos I am a total muppet head with things like this lol)

So happy I have stumbled accross this forum and this topic...i have spotted flower girl dresses on an american website and it was going to cost me £200 for 3 including shipping...I will easily be able to make my own as above and then add a vintage style waistband with pearls etc...

i'm going to put a little brooch on the front of their dresses as well :)
once you have made one, you can play about with it and add little bits, like straps, ribbon, trimming etc :)
