Startin to stress abit as i have nothin booked cant get in touch with any venues etc as its a bank holiday. Other half hasnt spoken to his dad yet about it, (his dad is a leader or somethin like that in sally army where we are meant to be gettin married) I have gt myself so worked up now I dont know where to begin!

We were plannin to get married in 2 years, n saturday both of us agreed just to have a lil quiet one. Not told anyone date just said a rough date to check whether family werent on holiday! My heads gone ocmpletely on the matter, it would make things better if this b loody island didnt shut down cos of a bank holiday! Have no dress or anything! Altho at this rate wont be needin a dress as he still wont have spoken to his dad. Hes seen him 4 times since saturday at least! So so stressed!
It will be fine Steffi try not to stress (I know easier said than done) it will all work out in the end!!x

i would book time off of work to sort it and just spend the whole day planning your wedding... bliss! i am sure once you start ticking things off of the list it will get exciting x x

Confirm your venue (church) & date, you speak to his dad if he doesn't then first thing you need to get is your license. You can do invites on-line for speed. Buy a dress - look online for ideas, even on bank holiday, What are you going to do for a reception? A local resteraunt / carvery may be good at such short notice. Cars, Cake, Flowers, rings and thats about it really. Stop panicing and start planning. Write a list and do some online research today then you will be able to start arrangements tomorrow. I arranged a wedding in 2 weeks for someone so it can be done but you may have to get an emergency license depending on timescale. Best of luck & enjoy your day x

Dont panic hun otherwise youll drive yourself bonkers!!!!!!!!!!You need to sit down with h2b make a list ensuring that you prioritize and address the most important aspects first....all the little bits and pieces can wait!!!! As long as you have a church/reg office, rings and something to wear you can then take a deep breath and work the rest out after!!!! Get all friends and family involved in your planning also! Your probably feeling a little overwhelmed at the moment, thats probably just a natural reaction from going so quickly from 2 years to 6 weeks!!!!!!!!!

well thankfully i dont work, we were lookin at a church hall or sports club for reception as they would work out cheaper n then do our own food, friends have said theyll help do a buffet... i have been offered a dress from lil sis's boss who bought it then changed her mind, so gonna seee that tomoro as its in lil sis's work... In regards to his dad am meetin them later to go for dinner with the kids so will just have to speak to him myself if h2b isnt back from work in time! all the important people have been told that its been brought right forward n seem to be willing to help a bit. so just hoping things come together. from the high on saturday where i was really excited realisation has just hit me as how soon it is. xx

Hi Steffi, You will be alright you know you can do this really!! Book yourself some time as suggested, make a list, email everyone the invitation so they get the date booked, I am sure that you will be able to get a dress during the week - but as a suggestion bay of e is still open today - and there are loads of bits on there! If you are having a small do now - are you going to a restaurant for the wedding breakfast after - if so I bet that can be booked today ( may be easier than sorting catering for somewhere!) When my Dad got married they had a very small wedding and booked a little room in the local pub where we had dinner after - it was really great and they decorated it for him - it was also very cost effective and meant there was no clearing up after. Then we just went back to thier house for some drinks and put the glasses in the dishwasher! You can get your rings - there will be shops open today! We are here for you! Don't stress too much. Well I ma currently goin thro fone book for pubs etc with a extra room that can get hired out... His cousin is findin out about the place that we use for football do's to see if we can get a special rate there as we use it so often... Time for some positive thinkin n get my head outta my a rse i think! I will do it even if i have to blackmail people to help ;o) xx thanks everyone!x
