I've been having some stresses of my own today, silly things which I have come to realise are nothing really, but planning a wedding apparently turns me crazy.
Anyway, my mum has always been very against us cutting the cake and then having it on the buffet, I never knew why until today. I showed her the candy cart we're hopefully booking tomorrow (as long as they have our date free) and she said it looks gorgeous but to remember one of the young girls who will be there (she is very greedy) I laughed and pointed out that even though she is there we have to feed the rest of our guests some how, the cart is going to feed 100 plus people and be generous servings and I doubt she will eat her way through that much... I then remembered the cake thing and asked if that was why she didn't think we should have the cake out... and she said yes, I just think it's pretty hilarious she thinks a young girl no matter how greedy could eat that much cake :p
Sorry if you don't feel this needed a thread, but personally it's really cheered me up and made me laugh at myself as well for stressing over venue dressing :) thought it would be nice if we could all share little moments like this

Lol Mums are funny at times. I think its a great idea to cut the cake and put it out with the buffet (Its what we are planning on doing) that way who ever wants a bit can have it and not worry that we have loads left over or getting it out to everyone.
Even if the girl is greedy surely her parents wouldn't allow her to eat all that much and leave some for everyone else.

Oh my god this is the sort of thing my mum would say. Its only because they want it all perfect but I do wish they could stop worrying about everything so much and just relax!
