I've got really thin hair, it's long but thin. Curls dont hold especially well or styles. I wondered if anyone else has this problem? And what styles could I go for? I was maybe thinking of a big bun type style but seriously when I tie my hair in a bun its about the size of a small apple and my hair length is past my bra strap! Any help ? :)

Have you thought about extensions, to thicken rather than lengthen. Or wrap the hair around a bun holder.

I have long thin hair - currently eczema related hair loss but normally I have lots of hair. Thin but plenty :-)

My hair only holds a curl when I use setting lotion but then the curl lasts a few days. For buns or a beehive I use padding that is similar to my hair colour and et voila I can have a humungous beehive on my head and no one is none the wiser. Just make sure it matches your own hair colour so your hair can spread well over it.

I'd never heard of setting lotion before, never knew it existed! What brand do you use? I did attempt using a doughnut once and I got fed up and gave up, I'm gonna have a little look on google at what you suggested so thank you!

This is a relict from the 40s and 50s and probably 60s and I don't know why on earth this has gone out of fashion - it works like magic!
I use Revlon Lottabody - got it off ebay as I didn't think Boots would stock it.

mine is sholder length and fine so my stylist suggested pin curls all up with little diamonte pins and a side swept fringe. he said this would last all day where as curls down would fall out x

SNAP! My hairs about shoulder length and is soo thin its horrible. If i curl it i literaly have to put a whole can of hair spray on it then back brush to hold it in place! i Usually put clip in extensions in and back brush abit to give it some volume!
Ill prob put extensions it and have it all put up :) x

I have quite long thin hair. At the moment it's nearly down to my waist. Due to the length although fine it's too heavy to hold a curl for too long. I'm having mine in e bun like the pictures above x

setting lotion is the key if your hair normally resiste a culrl! i bought a trevor sorbie one at boots yesterday and its fab!

with a donut you would be surprised how much volume you can get into your updo if you dont want to wear clip in extensions....x
