i bought some gorgeous bridal shoes in the January swwales that match my dress perfectly.....however at the end of Jan i broke my toe ( which has healed fine) but my shoes now do not fit!! I took them for my fitting yesterday and couldnt bear to wear them for even 30 mins.... The worst thing is my mum bought them for me, not mega expensive but i feel guilty about not fitting in them!! So my query is, do i try and stretch them, or admit defeat and buy another pair ( get married in 8 weeks) Any ideas would be fab, or if anyone has successfully stretched satin shoes????? x x x x

I got some shoe stretchers for mine and they worked a treat. I have really wide feet and could hardly get my feet in them but they fit lovely now.

A shoe tree is designed to keep the shape of the shoe when you store them rather than stretching them

Mine is metal but you can get them in wood. They have a bit at the front which is made of two halves that is spring loaded so you close it up, place it in the shoe and it then pushes the shoe outwards. It then also clips into the back of the shoe to keep it pushing into the bit that needs to be stretched. I noticed just having them in for a few hours made a big difference but then left them in there for a week or so.

You can do the sock thing but the shoe stretcher does it without it causing you any pain or sore bits.

Where did you get your from? I bought shoes in my normal size and they fitted perfectly, but after they've been dyed they are a bit small now xx

I have a good remedy for stretching shoes.. it maybe an old wives tale but it WORKS!!

Get some dampish news paper... scrunch it up.... and put lots of it in the shoe.. leave for a copule of days
and bingo... ya shoes are stretched a little!!

    I got mine from ebay.

Just be careful with the damp news paper as the ink can transfer onto ivory coloured shoes.

you could also take them to somewhere that replaces heels etc. I know our local one does the shoe stretching there, they can do it for bunions and things, or just to generaly widen the shoe.Hope you find a solution.xxx

Liann is right you local key/shoe shop will stretch your shoes for you, normally takes 24 hours and is quite cheap too.
