So ladies, the first thing since planning that me & H2b are divided on and can't really make our minds up on is having music during the Wedding Breakfast. I am not talking your latest Dance tunes but just some chilled and perhaps love related background music.

I quite like the idea of having background music plus it can act as an ice breaker on the tables if someone perhaps may say "oh, I like this song." etc. H2b thinks that just having chatter is fine. We obviously have a fair amount of time to make a decision on this but I'd say its a good job we do as we are very divided on this haha.

What are your opinions on this?

Funnily enough I just posted on the book of face yesterday asking people's opinions, all of my married friends said they had had background music, but I must admit I can't remember ever noticing it, it's one of those things isn't it you may notice on the day and even hum along but not remember afterwards! Personally we have decided to do it because it doesn't cost anymore! If it did I probably wouldn't bother, but it is a bit of a hassle having to get all the songs and put them onto a cd or whatever, we are going to have my music as OH is big dance fan whereas I'm into the likes of stereophonics Coldplay air supply etc which can be nice and quiet in the background, and acoustic versions etc? Hope this helps xx

See, I have been to a mix of Weddings where some have had background music and some haven't. I won't even have to put it onto CD, I don't think there are CDs long enough to anyway, unless I am mistaken I thought 80mins was the longest time you could fit on a CD? Our DJ is a very good friend of ours so I will just be able to give him a playlist.

Well that's good if u have a dj in the daytime I would definately go for it...our dj charged an extra £195 to be there for the ceremony and breakfast and I felt that was too much!! x

Our DJ as I said is a very close friend so he is also a guest and one of our witnesses (when H2b remembers to ask him lol!) So he can put the playlist on I-tunes if he wants or whatever program he uses to play music through whilst we are eating. Its crazy what some DJ's charge. We are very lucky that our friend has not asked for any money. We are supplying him and his wife accommodation though.

We're having background music which we'll play on a laptop or MP3 player or something. I've put everything I can find on my laptop, and I'm not sure how much there is at the moment, but we're going to need about four hours worth between 3:00 when people will arrive after photos until 7:00 when the DJ takes over.

30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

The only back ground music I remember during a wedding breakfast was provided by a wonderful piano player. If others had music, I really don't remember.
