On the table I wanted a picture of my two granddads and my partners dad with a little candle so they are still with us. but im worried it may upset people who are coming! Obviously its not meant to be a sad day, what do others think?
I have some bouquet charms for them and they are all on my flowers.

It's a lovely touch.
We are setting a table place for mum and tying a blue balloon to the chair. (We've done it at every major family event since she passed away) and people always comment that it's a nice touch, and they imagine that she's just popped out for a smoke. It makes me feel that she's with us, and is actually sitting with us in some way.
I've been to weddings where there is a small table to one side for memorials rather than on the top table if you feel it's too much

There are quite a few crafts about with plaques saying about people being not there as they are in heaven which seem to be getting more popular . Personally I will be putting a small cushion with my mum fave flower in the place she would of sat in the cathedral and mentioning her and others in speeches . But the candle sounds a nice touch :)

We're going to have a frame for those who we were closest to. My nana and OHs nana and grandad, bt although there are others who have passed, they are who we are closest to that mean something to us. A few people may not like it who think we should have others that can't be there, but we've said it's about the relationships we had with them. I like the candle idea too, may have to look into that.
