I haven't seen anyone say that BBB should be kept quiet though SS? I think everyone's voiced their opinions about budgets and even though I am NOT a BBB, I don't think you should be ashamed of your budget...but you have to be aware that there are people on here who will be offended (and maybe a little jealous) about those on bigger budgets...that doesn't mean you shouldn't give opinions about bargains and saving money coz you've had some great ideas (for me anyway) - My idea of this site is where people can swop ideas and get helpful advice and hints on how to plan th wedding of THEIR dreams with the money the have!

Dont even get me started about "video killed the radio star" its my theme tune whenever I look at yet another sample DVD. They just seem total pants - ALL of them £300 up to the latest one which quoted £3700!

Tinsel, I know a videographer. He is brilliant, his work is always fab BUT he's in the South West. Not sure where you are and I'm too lazy to click and look! :-) I would use him myself but my OH has put his foot down and said I can have whatever I like, just not that! Spoil sport

SS I was simply saying that some people CAN get upset when others are discussing things they cannot and maybe will not be able to afford - not that it should prevent you from discussing your wedding. Weddings are a stressful thing and there's always an air of secrecy surrounding money...don't worry about it.
I think this thread has been taken WAY out of context and people are getting a little too frought about it.

A thread will have a natural ending, as do most things in life. i hiave not read all the comments here but personally i feel that we are all on some kind of budget, large, small, either way a wedding that costs £50,000 is going to be no better and no worse than a wedding costing £200. at the end of the day your wedding will be the best for you and wont be the best for anyone other than you and your new husband! we are all different, dif styles, tastes, situations and budgets but i can guarantee you wouldnt be happy with any old wedding... it would have to be personal to you!
