Right ladies, I need your help please!
well i've stopped my pill after taking a few pills after my last period back at the end of feb. long story on why i've stopped it. but about the 22nd of march i went to the docs with bad stomach pains, the doc done a preg test on me and was neg. however a few days later, me and H2B had sex, at the end of march, which was a few days before my next period was due. i've not had one. so we left it a few weeks thinking i may be late, we done a test a few weeks ago that came back neg, but we weren't overly sure at how accurate it was or if it was too early. i'm due again this week, still nothing. has any one had any trouble with the pill after coming off? H2B thinks i'm preg, and don't get me wrong it would be fab if we were expecting but i don't want to get my hopes up and if it comes back neg again this weekend and it's just my body getting used to not being on the pill. any help? hope this makes sense!

i stopped my pill as my h2b had the snip 14 years ago, it took a while for me to come on as the pill was still in my system, if your worried talk to your pharmacist they can help you xx

I would take a pregnancy test just to either confirm a pregnancy or so that you know you are not. Periods are funny things and can be late due to stress or a number of other things. I know its not nice getting your hopes up or feeling down if you don't get the answer you want but at the moment there is little you can do about it so you just have to do what you have to do. The only thing I would say is make sure you talk to the h2b and let him know how you are feeling so he can support you through this.

It can take several months to settle back into a normal cycle when you come off the pill, sometimes longer.

If you had sex at the end of March, then if you test now you should get a definite result, so I would definitely test again. It might be worth using condoms for a while until you're back in a regular cycle, to save confusion/upset, and make any pregnancy easier to date

i would do another pregnancy test just to make sure.

when i came off the pill in dec 09 it took a month for my first period to arrive but after that they were really irregular. they eventaually started to settle about 10 months later but my cycle still weren't the same length.

i then went back on the pill for 2 months and then stopped in november and my periods are still not regular 5 months later!

it can take a long time to get into a routine again...just like when you first start periods but if you are worried go see your docs xx
