I've seen these shoes, and to be honest im on the fence
They have a rocker sole on - which is something we give to patients with various foot and ankle problems - so you "roll" over them instead of walking naturally. Rocker soles are good for heel and arch pain so if you have these then they MAY be of benefit BUT they offer no ankle support.
Because of the sole they are what is known as an unstable shoe so.....they have a destabilising effect on your posture so you need good balance to wear these - and thats why they claim to tone up your leg and bum muscles. These muscles are having to work harder to keep you in balance.
Also, If you have hyperpronation or supination these are not the footwear for you and if you're not wearing good orthotics you are asking for trouble - these will cause excessive stress on your hip, knees and ankles. Rocker soles are designed to help you walk in a straight line so any side to side movement (such as aerobic exercises) should be avoided, and DO NOT RUN in them!

These are not a magic solution for weight loss or toning - only a good diet and a good gym program can do that :-)
