thanks lovely bridal birds! My man is moderately, almost interested in it as a venue (as much as he is interested in anything really!) So that's a good sign. Going to veiw it tomorrow so will let you know how it goes

Went to The Midland (in Manchester!) this morning and oh my lordy lordy! It's stunning! I totally fell for it and asked them to hold our date. Have 3 more venues to view tomorrow and then it's decision time!!!! The man is really keen on The Midland and I was blown away by it and the co-ordinator was fab. Happy Days!!!

I've stayed there before and it's beautifully old school - I think it would make a lovely venue! The rooms are good too.

I've provisionally booked 'The French' (restaurant) for the ceremony and 'The Stanley Suite' for the wedding breakfast and evening reception. The stanley was the old gentlemens retiring room! It's fab, all wood pannelled and big old fireplaces and The French is just like something from Versailles! Really good deal too I think and you can have 3 standard rooms or one suite as part of the package

We're having the Stanley suite for the breakfast and reception (church for ceremony) and I have no doubt it will be fabulous but I can never see any pictures from weddings or find any reviews etc. and it would be ace if anyone has anything to throw in? Also are there any good spots for photos?

A lot of wedding photographers post their wedding photographs by venue. I'll post some Midland Hotel wedding photos I was able to find to my profile as links cannot be added to the forum.
