Well 4 stone between now and April 2012 gives you about 64 weeks. Aim to lose 1lb a week and you'll hit your target in just over a years time. There's also space there to have a bad week or two.

I'm aiming to loose 1lb a week between now and Aug 2012 to hit my target of loosing 6.5 stone. I've started by cutting out the biscuits in the evening. Munching red peppers and grapes instead. Oh and I'm having a 15 minute walk in the evenings after tea.

Find a small thing to change every week and you'll see the results. Don't be tempted to jump into the deep end and drop a dress size in a week!

    x

I'm joining in but mine is more the need to exercise and lose this muffin top excuse of a belly, also need to lose an inch or 2 from around my derriere and need to tone my arms up.
The gameplan is to cut out most of the junk in my daily diet, power walk the school run and do at least an hour a day on Wii fit.
I'll check in as often as I can and if I've been a naughty girl someone MUST tell me off!!

Just to quickly mention to anyone who is doing their exercise programmes on the Wii - in case you didn't know Wii fit plus (not to be confused with Wii fit) has a function that allows you to put in what treats you've had, it calculates the calories and tells you when you've burnt them off.......................*rescues the mini-muffins from the cupboard*

i have spent most of the previous year in casts & splints , still in one now due to wrist op gone wrong , i found walking has at least helped me keep the weight gain down, my body hasnt liked the painkillers and kept putting weight on even tho i was eating ww style. just try to do a lot of walking liz ,as i havent been able to drive i kept walking the 3mile round trip to the town to grab bread or go to post office , so i didnt go crazy stuck in the house and also kept myself active x

You know leafy that's a good idea. I've been trying to figure out what I can do that's a bit more cardio after my knee op, as gym class wise I'm only allowed to do the non-impact controlled stuff like pilates, which is great for muscle strength but doesn't do much for stamina or cardio fitness. I could start walking to get me out of the house :-) As treadmills bore the pants off me!

    hi ya
I am 10.4 which dont sound much but im only 5ft so it is. I would like to be 8.12. Im currently doing weight watchers and going to zumba classes 2 nights a week which is so much fun never thought i would enjoy exercise but love zumba. I start my dress fittings next month so really need to lose this weight now rather than later, already been told by dress people if i lose weight after alterations its my problem lol, and will have to pay again for alterations. so i am determined just wish my other half would help he seems to eat what ever and never put on weight so when he is scoffing his face with cream cakes i fall of the wagon.

just had the most amazing dinner. It was the smoky cod recipe from the latest morrisons magazine. It was sooo lush and I don't even normally like fish. It was so healthy too only 168 calories and 0.5g sat fat per portion. Can give you the recipe if you want. I weigh in tomorrow so am hoping I've lost some this week as it's my first week trying properly. Would love to be 9.5st by dress fitting in April.x
