The page isn't shut down, he does still have his FB account, he put a long winded status earlier saying that he's been getting threats etc and he's apparently getting divorced! He's asked for people to stop messaging while he sorts everything out, as soon as he does he'll let peeps know how to get refunds etc (if he actually gives them as apparently he's skint now)
Not really sure whats happening, but am now waiting until I get a message from him, hopefully I won't have to wait long!
Shame really, but i suppose they do say if something sounds too good to be true...it usually is!
Oh well, I tried to bag a bargain, but it just weren't meant to be :(

    Hi All

Sooo, I have been trying to get my money back with this geezer and its harder than I thought! I originally tried the route that he requested, through his website (which has now been closed down) and an invoice through Paypal which have come to nothing :(
I have now attempted through my wedding insurance, which I sent them absolutely everything I had including pages of FB screen shots of our messages between each other & their annoucement of going bust, original contract, bank statment, paypal statment, etc, however my insurers want proof they have gone bust! I have looked on Companies House and can't find them so where do I go from here?? Any ideas??!!

Has anyone else who booked through these had any luck getting their dosh back?

I would maybe get in touch with trading standards and see if there is anything they can give you to show that they have shut down. If not then I think the only way you will get your money is by going through the small claims court hun xxx

I have tried similar except through insurance as for the same reasons as you really there was never an invoice for the booking so its hard to prove it was a genuine claim or something like that. Thought about small claims court but with court costs and my time and effort is it worth it for £99? I know I cant really aford to lose that but in the grand scheme of my wedding its not a huge amount of money and with all the effort i have done so far and the continuing effort might be easier to just accept it.

learnt now tho if it seems to good to be true it is! My gut told me not to book but with everyones positive comments I thought i would trust him, i feel a bit silly now and gullible!

    Me too Stinky :(

I'm usually so good at sniffing out a con too! My radar must be broken!! lol

I can't be doing with small claims court as it isn't worth it. so I think I'll give trading standards a call & my insurers one last call and explain the situation and see what they do, if nothing...oh well..at least it wasn't in the hundreds!

    Thanks ladies :)
